$90 each pery holy crap!!
Whoa. Interesting prices. It seems cheaper to book a room.
Crazy idea really. If I was staying there, I would be upset with the crowds and longer lines just so GW could pad their pockets with day passes.
I agree. That’s part of the beauty of GWL’s format. If they are needing to make an extra buck, I’d prefer they lower their room rates in an effort to book more rooms.
Might as well book a room 😳
We took the grandkids last week and at Concord NC it was $55, worth it if the kiddos had wanted to stay the whole time 🤨.
I just looked at Concord…1 day is $70 dollars!
$85 on the weekend for me and then $55 during the weekdays.
Lol $70 per person😂. Gtfo with that😭😂
😂🤣🤣😂
Thank you for this
$85/person is ridiculous!
I thought this was going to be a deal!
Same. They have lost their minds. They need to make all Kids free and adults pay lol. Take my whole squad!
$110 per person on a Sunday for a day pass…seriously!?
Wish they wouldn’t sell day passes. One of the perks of staying there is you don’t have the long lines like you do at other water parks.
I actually have a stay booked here later this summer, and I called because this made me want to cancel the reservation. We stay there and pay the higher prices because we want a relaxing vacation with less crowds, and only having overnight guests in the water park, allows that to happen. The lady on the phone told me that they have to be purchased online, at least 24 hours in advance, they’re about 75 dollars, and they will limit how many day passes they sell based on resort occupancy. This made me feel better and I did not cancel, but I definitely don’t believe this is the right move for the guests. This will probably be our last trip there. I would rather spend money and head to cedar point, or do something of that sort, if you are going to deal with potential crowds anyway.
We have been waiting for one day passes. My husband refuses to pay the outrageous room prices and if you can find a day for $55 it makes it a total score!! Some of you that are saying they wish they weren’t offering them must be able to afford a room- but our family can only afford the day. Boo hoo you have to wait in longer lines.
If you find a groupon deal, the overnight stay can be much cheaper. Our family of five has stayed overnight for around $200, including taxes. This allows you to have two days at the water park. I’ve noticed the groupon deals are not as frequent as they used to be though.
i’ve always taken myself and 5 kids and never spent more than 200$ for the room which includes the water park bracelets
Boo hoo? That’s always been the perk of staying at Great Wolf over going to other water parks that already offer day passes, so it’s not outrageous to expect a certain vacation when you book. I’m a single mom, and have gone to Great Wolf with my daughter many times. It’s not expensive when you sign up for their specials and book off-times. I always pay under $100 a night, so to say $55 per person for a day pass is doable, but an overnight is not, only makes sense if one person is going by themselves. Our Great Wolf water park area is extremely small compared to the other Great Wolf locations, so yes, letting day pass people in changes the experience in the water park completely.
We have gotten day passes at Mount Olympus at the Dells and the lines are insane! So,the perk of he GWL is you pay a little more for less crowds.
We can get a room here for $109/night during the week for a family of six in Concord NC. $55/erson for a day pass is crazy.
GwL in Washington is already crowded without the day pass…
Holy cow! For $90 it’s not worth the day pass.
I just went to the California location two weeks ago. I was invited by family because they had 2 extra passes. When you purchase through Groupon you get 6 water park passes with your room. I personally would say paying $300 for the room and 6 passes is totally worth it.
I loved how it’s indoors and it’s semi small. I have a 6 year old and I felt comfortable letting her tell me which area she’d be in and allowing her to go alone. It was super easy for her to check in with me or give me a little wave here and there. She loved the 2 foot play area for little kids. For adults The lazy river was a little small and shallow so my knees were torn up by the end of the day. But everything else was fun for me and my husband 32 and 35. I was a little disappointed with the extra activities they offer for free. But you get what you pay for and since we paid nothing they were worth nothing lol. I tried all day to get a pic with the characters but they don’t stop to take pics and they’re rarely/never seen just standing around.
Food wasn’t too overpriced.
I didn’t stay the night in the room but I hung out in it for a bit. The basic room is nothing special or exciting for kids.
We’ve gone to GWL just to play Magiquest. That was worth it! As long as you have a wand, which we did from a previous visit
we’ve gone to play in the arcade and eat at the amazing burger place next door 🙂
Hmm. Hopefully this is just their solution for traveling families to meet together when not all parties are at gwl. Otherwise I don’t like the idea of increasing traffic.
Colorado Springs is 100.00 a person. Yeah I don’t think so.
