This mop is exactly what I needed. I have hardwood and tile. My biggest issue was dog slobber. Using chemicals designed for hardwood floors was effective, but it did take four swipes back and forth along with giving it a good dose. Since we were in the market for a new cleaning method, I typed in best mop for removing dried dog slobber. Steam mops popped up. This Bissell was the highest rated, and after reading the reviews, I decided to buy it for my wife’s birthday. It was delivered quickly, and within 30 seconds of plugging it in (wait period), I was off mopping the floor. About 30 seconds after that, I was sold. It would erase the dog slobber in one to two swipes. Used the perfect amount of moisture/steam on low, so it dried even faster than the overpriced alcohol tainted chemical mop and smelled nice.
The only thing I noticed was that the tap water left a light sheen. I switched out to distilled the next day and no sheen. $0.80/gallon for distilled water vs $27/gallon for the chemicals we were using. I am one happy camper! – John ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had never had hardwood floors until we built our house 13 years ago so I asked the flooring company that installed it. They recommended the Bona floor cleaner and I have been happy with it ever since. I have people come in the house often and ask me how my floor still looks so nice.

I just bought and tried the Method brand this week, because they were out of the Pledge brand (both pictured). I love the Pledge brand, Method did okay, but I felt like I used ALOT for one cleaning. I like Pledge first and Bona second.

Best cleaner for hardwood? None of the above! Instead, I prefer about 1/4 cup of vinegar and a few drops of lemon EO in a bucket of warm water. I’ve used several of those products in this list, and I don’t think they do any better of a job than mopping with vinegar/water. Also, several of those products aren’t as green as they pretend to be — look up what EWG has to say about Method and Bona!
