I have five suggestions/points for this site and the main site.
First, I would like email notifications for responses to my comments on this site.
Second, in addition to the stationary banner ad at the top of each page, there are two pop-up ads at the bottom of the page that follow you when scrolling. One of the ads covers up the other. The main site only has one ad at the bottom that follows you. This is in Chrome on my Samsung Galaxy S7.
Third, on the main site, I don’t want to have to confirm that I want to follow each post I comment on. Before the switch to Word Press, I didn’t have to confirm anything after checking the box to receive email notifications. It is very annoying and sometimes time consuming to have to confirm following each and every post I comment on. If you add email notifications to this site, please don’t make us go through all the confirmations here as well.
Fourth, I hate the four panels near the top of the page. They first load vertically before switching to horizontal scrolling. If I scroll past the last vertical panel to see posts, the page will jump down when the four panels go horizontal. The page takes longer to load because of this. This happens on both sites.
Fifth, there isn’t a box to check to stay logged in on this site or the main site. There is no warning when I get logged out. I only notice when I am all of a sudden asked to enter my email to make a comment.
