Stetson Tried IHOP’s New Addams Family Menu and It Was Dreadfully Delicious (+ Kids Eat Free Offer)
With Halloween right around the corner and the premiere of The Addams Family movie scheduled for October 11, it seems like the perfect time for IHOP to launch its all-new The Addams Family-themed menu!
The movie’s character-inspired items listed inside this coffin-shaped menu are available now through November 3. We sent Stetson out to do a taste-test and let us know if they are as “dreadfully delicious” as promised!
Although the menu’s artwork is very well done and totally on-brand for the Addams Family, the menu itself isn’t particularly helpful for anyone looking for pricing information. In fact, no prices are listed at all for these limited-time menu items. Seems a little odd, right?!
Stetson was advised by his server to check his regular menu and find the corresponding menu item for a price reference. For example, Morticia’s Haunted Hot Chocolate should cost the same as the regular hot chocolate on IHOP’s year-round menu.
To complicate matters, pricing varies by location. So rather than listing a price for each item, we linked each item below to IHOP’s online menu, where you can enter your location and see the price you’ll pay in your area.
There was one helpful bit of information inside the Addams Family menu at IHOP (and on their website)… Kids 12 and under eat FREE! That’s right – for every adult entree purchased, you’ll get a free kids’ entree. This offer is valid every day from 4-10 PM, now through November 3rd. Go ahead and feed your kids breakfast for dinner… it’s FREE!
If you’d like to see Stetson testing these creepy, kooky breakfast items, you can watch a replay of his Facebook live video, which also includes his delightful rendition of the Addams Family theme song… complete with finger-snapping! 😂
Here are the items from IHOP’s Addams Family menu that Stetson tried…
This omelette is stuffed with marinated pulled pork, jack & cheddar cheese, fire-roasted red and green peppers and onions and green chile verde sauce topped with sour cream. Stetson says,
You’d better bring a friend for this one. This is a HUGE omelette! It’s full of pulled pork, jack and cheddar cheese, and peppers galore. Topped with sour cream and served with 3 buttermilk pancakes, you just can’t go wrong. The pork itself was delicious, and adding everything else to the mix really enhanced it. This omelette was easy to cut into and very filling.
IHOP’s fluffy, signature buttermilk pancakes are decorated with cupcake icing, webbed with Hershey’s chocolate syrup, and adorned with violet whipped topping.
These buttermilk pancakes are roped with cupcake icing and surprisingly good! The icing adds that extra sweet flavor to the pancakes, which I thought tasted somewhat like a cinnamon roll. They were really fluffy and delicious. Every bite just melted in my mouth!
Morticia’s Haunted Hot Chocolate
This toasted marshmallow hot chocolate is served under a pile of violet whipped topping and a drizzle of Hershey’s chocolate syrup.
This toasted marshmallow hot chocolate was really yummy, especially with that Hershey’s syrup drizzled across the violet whipped topping. That rich chocolate paired really well with the toasted marshmallow flavor. It made for a fun drink that anyone can enjoy like I did!
Uncle Fester’s Chocolate Ice Scream Shake
This is IHOP’s chocolate ice cream shake, made with Hershey’s ice cream and topped with violet whipped topping.
Oh, this guy is probably my doppelgänger. 😂 This tall glass of chocolate deliciousness was so tasty! It wasn’t too thick at all, so it was very easy to drink. It was as sweet as it was smooth, with the same violet topping as the hot chocolate had. I love milkshakes, and this one is up there on the list for me.
While breakfast with the Addams family sounds like something that could be a little scary, Stetson’s experience at IHOP was scary good.
How much fun was this breakfast? It’s so cool that IHOP is doing an Addams Family menu at this time of year. I’m not usually much of a morning person, but food like this might be enough to make me change my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed each item, and it definitely got me into the spooky spirit for Halloween!
Get ready to save ALL the money this Halloween with our best deals of the season!
Me and bae are big Adams family fans ,and the omelette sounds awesome .I’m waking him at butt crack o dawn for this .lol he not morning person either lol ; )
LOL! Hope you both enjoy your breakfast!
I like Stetson job :). Bless him with a gym membership too cause lol my body would never make it through those food tasting 🙂
Lol I was thinking the same.
I think I’ll try that omelette and take my daughter for those pancakes.
Our whole family loves Addams family. Even the original show. My youngest daughter’s birthday is October 12th I’m planning on taking her to the movie and IHOP for an early birthday outing.
What a fun idea! Hope she has a wonderful Birthday!
These are fun creations 😃 I think there maybe some confusion. kids eat free in the evenings between 4-10. they get a kid menu meal free. The speciality items would count as an adult meal. I’m sure they would put purple whip cream on it if asked! Creepy good!
There’s a special kids meal too. They show it with the free kids meal advertisement on the iHOP website.
Kooky Kids Combo
One Wednesday’s Web-Cake served with one scrambled egg, one bacon strip and one pork sausage link.
They’re more dessert than dinner (or breakfast) but I may have to take my 10yo daughter to iHop for those web cakes and hot chocolate. The flavor combos are right up her alley, purple/lavender is currently her favorite color and she loved the Grinch specialty cocoa last Christmas. Thanks for the heads up!
Too cute! You’re so welcome! Hope she loves these items too!
I want to try the omelette and the pancakes with a partner to share!
I think you should change Stetson’s name to Mikey. Poor guy….he’ll eat anything. I enjoy his posts and he’s a good sport!
So…I was thinking about taking my kids to see the Addams family movie, when it comes out, with my husband in tow so we could get both kids a free meal right before we go to the movie. Would that work for them to get an “Adams family” meal or does it have to be a regular kids meal item?
I just checked the fine print on the website. It says kids get a free meal with EACH adult entree so you should be able to get one with yours and one with your husbands. It also says it has the be from the kids’ menu and I see they have added a kids meal called, “Kooky Kids Combo” which includes one Wednesday’s Web Cake served with one scrambled egg, one bacon strip and one pork sausage link. Have a fun night with the family, Jennifer!
The free food for the kids is from 4:00 p.m.?
Yes! Everyday from 4-10 PM. You could always call in to your location first before heading out, to be certain. Hope this helps!
What did/does the purple whipped topping taste like??
Whipped cream
Stetson said it was like buttercream frosting!
