Here’s where our Hip team is shopping for clearance…
“I really don’t have the patience for store clearance and will just filter sales/deals online if I need something and want to try and get a good deal. That said, you can normally catch me at the Target Christmas clearance section. It’s the perfect time for me to stock up on pretty wrapping paper, ribbons, gift boxes, etc. that I would never pay full price for and then I know I’m all stocked up for the next year when it quickly rolls around.” – Sara
“KOHL’S!! I get to save big on brands that aren’t eligible for coupons for the boys like UA and Nike and adidas, AND I get to upgrade my wardrobe and get the styles I loved so much when they were full-price but on clearance! It’s not always packed full of out-of-season items either! And when they do the extra 50% off, deals are INSANE!!” – Jenna P
“Target is my fav store to shop for clearance home goods and holiday merch (Christmas & Halloween specifically). I only buy holiday merch when it goes on clearance. Followed by Books A Million! They always have tons of sale books (even newer ones), board games, toys, and giftable items perfect for even picky teens!“ – Liz
“I love checking out the clearance sections at nurseries. In most cases, some fresh soil, a little trim and a good feed/watering is all it takes to perk those plants right back up. And that means I can buy more. 😉🪴“ – Cass
“I have only ever shopped it online, but Walmart Clearance finds constantly blow my mind. I’ve gotten so many insane steals under $5 and $10 for great products. Entire outfits, shoes, bags, kitchen accessories, beauty, you name it.
Another one isn’t exactly a store, but a yearly find…the clearance beauty/skincare sets right after Christmas! (At Target, Walmart, Ulta, etc.) So many beauty sets are already amazing value and because they tend to have holiday packaging or Christmas themes, you can get the same great products/formulas for way less.“ – Monica
“Anthropologie clearance is my weakness. Specifically the in-store when it’s an additional half off. The candles and cute clothing are fantastic there. 🥰🥰🥰“ – Lina
“I’m with Lina on the Anthropologie clearance. I’ve bought $200-$300 dresses for $15. I shop it online and live for the extra 50% off. However, I need to take two of those dresses into the store to have the security tags removed so I can wear them somewhere besides the house! 🤣 I also love the clearance at Draper James, ASOS, and Walmart.“ – Cara
“I loooooooove Old Navy clearance!!! I seriously go and find the best deals! Most of the time I buy something for someone else because the price was so good (hello, $2.99 jeans!!)” – Alli
“You can frequently find me trolling the clearance sections at every store I visit, but I find particularly great deals at HomeGoods/TJ Maxx/Marshalls stores.” – Kelli
“I second (or third, or fourth 😉) the Target clearance—especially the after-Christmas clearance!
Probably seems strange, but I enjoy checking out the clearance at our Kroger store. It’s a “marketplace” store, so we have groceries, clothing, home goods, etc. Sometimes things are on clearance because they’re seasonal, packaging changes, store resets, etc. I always try to do a quick run-through of the area on a shopping trip to see if anything catches my eye. I don’t spend a lot of time digging through the items, though (but they have it pretty well organized that you don’t necessarily have to dig either!) I’ve found name-brand kids’ games for $1 or $2, kitchen organization items for a few dollars, and some pantry dry good items that still had 6+ months left on them that were seasonally packaged! 🙌 ” – Jessica T.
YES same as Jessica! I love DIP brand clothes LOL! And ours has had a lot of clearance lately. I put together a fantastic baby gift with clearance diapers, baby products, and a bumbo chair for like $20 the other day for one of my husband’s coworkers and the plant/flower clearance is always good at my store.” – Lina
We can’t wait to hear where you all are shopping for clearance steals!
Stay tuned for more Hip Birthday giveaway posts all week long! 🎉 Until then, let’s get back to the deals…
I so wish I had a Kohl’s in my town. They aways seem to have amazing clearance items. Love when I can visit one.
Grocery stores!!
My favorite clearance is Hobby Lobby. Since it’s craft items, I can usually make Something out of even broken things.
Walmart!!
My new go to is Walmart for great deals and clearance!
I’ve picked up some decent clearance items at Woot!
My favorite store with clearance is Dollar General. When you hit is just right, it is amazing.
Amazon Fresh occasionally has a stellar clearance section. I haven’t figured out the pattern, but at the end of the month there are often incredible deals on frozen and refrigerated items.
After any big holiday at Target, Dollar General, Hobby Lobby or Kohl’s, the grocery store for sure and the tags with the markdowns at CVS!
Costco clearance and their manager markdowns!
I love City Chic!! They run a half off sale on clearance, and you can’t beat their quality@
Target!!!
JC Penney
Target
Target
I love Old Navy clearance. Especially since you can shop it online too!
HomeGoods clearance
I really like Kohl’s clearance; both in store and on-line.
I love TJ Maxx clearance that comes around twice a year!
Old Navy hands down has the best clearance for me. Target is a good runner up as well as JC Penney and Fred Meyer.
TJ Maxx and Walmart
I’d have to say Target!
Hobby lobby and target
I clearance shop in every store I go in and it always varies depending on the seasons who has the best clearance, but probably Walmart or Target.
Walmart
TJMaxx
I’ve always found really good clearance deals at Aldis. I once found a cute pair of black flats for $2.99! A pair of cute lace bralettes for $6. A holiday cookie jar for teacher gift for $7. Holiday wooden garlands for $5. These are a few of the steals that I found at Aldis. I highly recommend stopping in every few weeks to see what’s in the bargain section.
Hobby Lobby
Agreed Old Navy clearance is awesome
My Sprouts has a great clearance area
Walmart!
I tell my coworkers about Loft like I am part of a multi-level marketing scheme. Their petite curvy size is life, okay? Full price is a little out of my range, but when it gets to half off the clearance plus an additional 15%… Fill up my cart! Cords, jeans, shorts, blouses, and sweaters go as cheap as $7, and dresses are $9 or $10. I usually buy duplicates for my sister of whatever I find… and only once or twice have we shown up at an event looking like something out of a Shining scenario.
CVS 90% deals year round not just Christmas
I love shopping the clearance racks at Old Navy. If you are willing to take the time you can find some amazing deals.
Walmart, specifically my local grocery clearance end cap, who cares if my tissue box is squished or my Kcups are seasonal!?
Marshall’s is one of my favorites
The Walmart near my house always has great clearance deals!
Hobby Lobby hands down!!❤️
Kohls!
Dillards has the best clearance. Always the best selection of shoes!
Cato fashion always has good clearance deals
Definitely Target
Kohl’s has the best clearance
Kohls
Hands down I’m going to go with Burlington. The store is already set at affordable prices but when the clearance sticker hits, you can’t leave the store without a cart full of items.
Target! They have a lot of clearance items to choose from
Kohl’s
Children’s Place has great online sales!
Lane Bryant Outlet. I have found some amazing clearance prices! I’m plus sized so it’s kinda hard to find quality clothes.
Oh my gosh so many!! I would have to pick Kohl’s and Old Navy.
