“I really don’t have the patience for store clearance and will just filter sales/deals online if I need something and want to try and get a good deal. That said, you can normally catch me at the Target Christmas clearance section. It’s the perfect time for me to stock up on pretty wrapping paper, ribbons, gift boxes, etc. that I would never pay full price for and then I know I’m all stocked up for the next year when it quickly rolls around.” – Sara

I get to save big on brands that aren’t eligible for coupons for the boys like UA and Nike and adidas, AND I get to upgrade my wardrobe and get the styles I loved so much when they were full-price but on clearance! “Target is my fav store to shop for clearance home goods and holiday merch (Christmas & Halloween specifically). I only buy holiday merch when it goes on clearance. Followed by Books A Million! “I have only ever shopped it online, but Walmart Clearance finds constantly blow my mind. I’ve gotten so many insane steals under $5 and $10 for great products. Entire outfits, shoes, bags, kitchen accessories, beauty, you name it.
Another one isn’t exactly a store, but a yearly find…the clearance beauty/skincare sets right after Christmas! (At Target, Walmart, Ulta, etc.) So many beauty sets are already amazing value and because they tend to have holiday packaging or Christmas themes, you can get the same great products/formulas for way less.“ – Monica

“I’m with Lina on the Anthropologie clearance. I’ve bought $200-$300 dresses for $15. I shop it online and live for the extra 50% off. “I second (or third, or fourth 😉) the Target clearance—especially the after-Christmas clearance!
Probably seems strange, but I enjoy checking out the clearance at our Kroger store. It’s a “marketplace” store, so we have groceries, clothing, home goods, etc. Sometimes things are on clearance because they’re seasonal, packaging changes, store resets, etc. I always try to do a quick run-through of the area on a shopping trip to see if anything catches my eye. I don’t spend a lot of time digging through the items, though (but they have it pretty well organized that you don’t necessarily have to dig either!) I’ve found name-brand kids’ games for $1 or $2, kitchen organization items for a few dollars, and some pantry dry good items that still had 6+ months left on them that were seasonally packaged! 🙌 ” – Jessica T.
YES same as Jessica! I love DIP brand clothes LOL! And ours has had a lot of clearance lately. I put together a fantastic baby gift with clearance diapers, baby products, and a bumbo chair for like $20 the other day for one of my husband’s coworkers and the plant/flower clearance is always good at my store.” – Lina

In my opinion, Kohl’s is one of the best places to peruse the clearance section. When there’s and additional 50% off paired with Kohl’s cash, prices are ridiculously low!
I’m a big fan of Woot! They have some amazing deals.
Kohls for clothes. CVS for personal care items
I luv Walmart’s clearance aisle. I frequently find things for our STRs, like bedding sets $3-10. And I luv the clearance toys too, like Miniverse kits $10 (regularly $30 ). Lots of home decor and entertainment stuff. I buy toys for my gift closet from there.
I find great deals at the Walmart clearance aisle in my store, especially now that they are remodeling.

Fred Meyers. They are the only store in our town that has a dedicated clearance isle (except walmart). but the discounts are super deep! And they sale everything, not just food. I have found some great things there, lime starbucks tumblers for $5!
I love to find clearance deals at Target. It is my go to store so when I happen upon a clearance item I want or need it is awesome.

It’s a toss up between Kohls and Old Navy. Between the two of them, I’m able to outfit my family for so much less. I love that both offer 80-90% off.
JCPenny has some really nice clearance racks but you do have to have time to go through them. Also Walmart after the holidays.
I found an Amazon, Target and Walmart Discount store that clears their merchandise for very reasonable. You just need to look and ask people that live near you. We have a Costco return store that I have purchase a brand new mattress still seal in box. I also like Kohls when they have their 50% off of clearance. Hobby Lobby when they have their 90% off. The key is to keep an ear open and check Hip2Save for deals and tips from readers as well. 🩷

I love TjMaxx clearance! I always find fun toys for my cat, home decor & organizing products. I also love finding healthier snack options for road trips there! Their seasonal markdowns can’t be beat!
DSW – the clearance aisles are clearly marked and the color coded discount stickers make it easy to know what the final price will be.

Walmart – but not just any store, specifically the one in Seward, NE. I’ve gotten wish list plants 75% off, clothes for $1 and more lightbulbs than you can shake a stick at!
Target for after-holiday, and Kohl’s for great clothing deals
Kohls is my go-to store. I have found so many great deals over the years…. My Husband says why do we always have a Kohls payment each month… When I pay it off each month.. Not a go deal if you have to pay interest on the card!!!! 🙂
TJ Maxx or Ross when they do the yellow sale clearance. you can get stuff very very cheap.

Kohls still has the best clearance sales especially when you can combine the sale + a coupon and/or Kohls cash!
Most definately Kohls, they slash prices then have days that you can take an additional 50% off. I always get great deals on Kohls clearance racks. However, Hobby Lobby is right up there with them. Their clearance prices come early and are steeply cut. I always shop the clearance shelves at Hobby Lobby after every season. You can’t beat them.
You don’t feature this store but Clothes Mentor, a woman’s resale clothing store. They start their clearance at 30%, then move to 50%, 70%, 90%, then $1 for anything that is left. They post on their FB page as the clearance deal gets better. I go when it is at 90%. I usually find a few things.
Costco and Target are my favorite for clearance items.

Hobby Lobby. When they do their 90% off sale, I buy up & donate to a breast cancer charity to auction off. They are always excited to see what I’ll bring & I’m not out much $.
Safeway has both meat, bakery, and other clearance section, we shop often.

I use to love shopping the clearance at JC Penny. My kids were raised with Penny’s clearance clothes. Unfortunately they closed our Penny’s many years ago but I still miss it.

At some point I think many many stores have great clearance. Depends on time of the year and what you are looking for. Most of the stores mentioned here have great clearance, depends on how quickly you get to it most times.
I love the clearance sections at my Target. My Target is hidden next to a closed shopping mall, so it is never crowded, and the clearance is always abundant.
i think walmart does after holidays. Goes to 75 and 90 percent off pretty fast.

Target’s clearance section is my happy place! There’s nothing like finding 70% off gems—cute clothes, home finds, toys, you name it! And when I stack those deals with Target Circle and my RedCard? Walmart for clothes and Dollar General for seasonal items. Target’s seasonal items are hard to get because the window of opportunity is so short and if you find something after their salvage date, they won’t sell it to you where I’m at.
