Here’s where our Hip team is shopping for clearance…
“I really don’t have the patience for store clearance and will just filter sales/deals online if I need something and want to try and get a good deal. That said, you can normally catch me at the Target Christmas clearance section. It’s the perfect time for me to stock up on pretty wrapping paper, ribbons, gift boxes, etc. that I would never pay full price for and then I know I’m all stocked up for the next year when it quickly rolls around.” – Sara
“KOHL’S!! I get to save big on brands that aren’t eligible for coupons for the boys like UA and Nike and adidas, AND I get to upgrade my wardrobe and get the styles I loved so much when they were full-price but on clearance! It’s not always packed full of out-of-season items either! And when they do the extra 50% off, deals are INSANE!!” – Jenna P
“Target is my fav store to shop for clearance home goods and holiday merch (Christmas & Halloween specifically). I only buy holiday merch when it goes on clearance. Followed by Books A Million! They always have tons of sale books (even newer ones), board games, toys, and giftable items perfect for even picky teens!“ – Liz
“I love checking out the clearance sections at nurseries. In most cases, some fresh soil, a little trim and a good feed/watering is all it takes to perk those plants right back up. And that means I can buy more. 😉🪴“ – Cass
“I have only ever shopped it online, but Walmart Clearance finds constantly blow my mind. I’ve gotten so many insane steals under $5 and $10 for great products. Entire outfits, shoes, bags, kitchen accessories, beauty, you name it.
Another one isn’t exactly a store, but a yearly find…the clearance beauty/skincare sets right after Christmas! (At Target, Walmart, Ulta, etc.) So many beauty sets are already amazing value and because they tend to have holiday packaging or Christmas themes, you can get the same great products/formulas for way less.“ – Monica
“Anthropologie clearance is my weakness. Specifically the in-store when it’s an additional half off. The candles and cute clothing are fantastic there. 🥰🥰🥰“ – Lina
“I’m with Lina on the Anthropologie clearance. I’ve bought $200-$300 dresses for $15. I shop it online and live for the extra 50% off. However, I need to take two of those dresses into the store to have the security tags removed so I can wear them somewhere besides the house! 🤣 I also love the clearance at Draper James, ASOS, and Walmart.“ – Cara
“I loooooooove Old Navy clearance!!! I seriously go and find the best deals! Most of the time I buy something for someone else because the price was so good (hello, $2.99 jeans!!)” – Alli
“You can frequently find me trolling the clearance sections at every store I visit, but I find particularly great deals at HomeGoods/TJ Maxx/Marshalls stores.” – Kelli
“I second (or third, or fourth 😉) the Target clearance—especially the after-Christmas clearance!
Probably seems strange, but I enjoy checking out the clearance at our Kroger store. It’s a “marketplace” store, so we have groceries, clothing, home goods, etc. Sometimes things are on clearance because they’re seasonal, packaging changes, store resets, etc. I always try to do a quick run-through of the area on a shopping trip to see if anything catches my eye. I don’t spend a lot of time digging through the items, though (but they have it pretty well organized that you don’t necessarily have to dig either!) I’ve found name-brand kids’ games for $1 or $2, kitchen organization items for a few dollars, and some pantry dry good items that still had 6+ months left on them that were seasonally packaged! 🙌 ” – Jessica T.
YES same as Jessica! I love DIP brand clothes LOL! And ours has had a lot of clearance lately. I put together a fantastic baby gift with clearance diapers, baby products, and a bumbo chair for like $20 the other day for one of my husband’s coworkers and the plant/flower clearance is always good at my store.” – Lina
We can’t wait to hear where you all are shopping for clearance steals!
Stay tuned for more Hip Birthday giveaway posts all week long! 🎉 Until then, let’s get back to the deals…
I like Kohl’s for clothing because they usually have really good mark downs.
Target has the best Clearance !
Target works for me!
Walmart clothing clearance is the best!
Hobby Lobby and Kroger.
Generally I find Target’s clearance to be the best but for groceries, I like Smith’s (Kroger affiliate).
I seem to find the best deals and have the most luck at Walmart!
I seem to find the best deals, and have the most luck at Walmart!
Hobby Lobby 90% off is MY kind of clearance! Sam’s Club often has indie items in the Clothing at great savings, but not store wide.
Honestly for me, American Eagle, especially if you’re looking for clothing. and we have several American Eagle clearance centers. Yes you hear that right clearance center is here in central Florida. They’re not like your regular American Eagle outlets. Everything is 19.99 and under.
Cracker Barrel has a great clearance corner. 75% off. I have found many good buys over the years. Just bought a beautiful sweater for 12.99.
When Kohls does 50% off clearance and also sends it coupons I can score a cart full for just a few bucks!
Home Goods, TJ Maxx and Marshall’s have the best clearance sections by far!! It’s the only places I check at those stores, always find great buys!!
I like Target clearance deals!
Wal-Mart! (:
Nordstrom! Their online sales are AWESOME!
I live in Fairbanks AK and put off the free stores we have I’m going to say Fred Meyers has the best clearances.
Victoria Secret
Walmart and Target
Bath and body
I have heard so many good things about couponing from Albertsons and Publix! We don’t have either but I wish we did! In my experience, I have found great clearance products from walmart! All random items or holiday but still good clearance none the less. With coupons, Walgreens and CVS can have great stuff as well!
I hate to say it but Walmart really has the best.
Hobby Lobby lately has been great. Walmart is a close second.
Target is still my favorite
If I were good at finding them, I wouldn’t need YOU 🙂 I’m going to look at the other comments now for more ideas.
I absolutely love Target seasonal clearance which has some of the best finds which can be used year round and not just for that particular season and they include a variety of items from home decor to kitchen to clothes and candy! They key is to go in early when it drops to its lowest. Another favorite store to shop seasonal clearance for me is Kroger and affiliates! Their end of season sale has gotten me such good clothes at very low prices which they do twice around the year and their seasonal stuff has great home decor items too just like Target which can be used year round. These two are my personal favorites.
I always shop the end caps at Target but they also leave some clearance items in the aisles so I look for the yellow tags 😉 Target has great clearance items!
I love Hobby Lobby! And it just keeps getting lower weekly so you always seem to find great deals during clearance times.
Ross and Walmart has the best clearance selection!
I love Kroger and my local Kroger affiliate Jay C. They always have e something great, whether it’s candles, seasonal items like Easter candy or toothpaste or canned goods!
Target and kohl’s
My favorite clearance steals are from Belk department store. I live twelve hours from my favorite store, and it’s so fun to receive a HUGE delivery in the mail. I typically pay around $120 for over $500 retail price merchandise. 💰Bonus: no one near me wears any of the same clothes! 🏆
Target!
I love Target clearance the best and if I can use a coupon, even better!
The best store for clearance items would be Kohls especially when they take off the extra percentage
Target of course
Walmart, especially for their clothes. I rarely buy myself new clothes unless I get a good deal, so I’m always excited to see good clearance items there!
Ulta and Kohls
Kohls!
Kohls!
Khols and CVS
Kohl’s but I admit if I happen to be in town when hobby lobby goes 90% – that is the best!
Target used to have great end of season sales.
Seasonally Kohl’s or JC Penny’s. Year round, Walgreens or CVS
Hobby lobby!!! And it is usually on a really good clearance before the holiday! But then…after the holiday… it is even better!!!!!
I go crazy with the Target clearance….especially after Christmas!
TJMaxx has the best clearance!
I’ve been getting some great clearance deals at Hobby Lobby!
For sure Kohls has best clearance deals! Followed by Belk and JCPenneys! All are always loaded with clearance items but Kohls has the extra 50 off clearance occasionally!
Kohl’s! I can always find something cute and “cheap” on clearance!
I love going to Kohls when they have half off the clearance prices or a 40% off coupon to pair with it. Walmart also has some really good deals !
