Is Dillard’s Bringing Back its Beloved New Year’s Day Clearance Sale for 2023? We Have the Answer!

In the past, they have always offered an extra 50% off clearance items on New Year’s Day which as you can imagine, made for exceptional deals on TONS of name-brand and designer merchandise. However, shoppers were quite disappointed when last year’s sale was canceled with just a few days’ notice.
Sadly, it doesn’t look like what came to be known as their biggest sale of the year will be returning to kick off 2023. The Dillard’s official Facebook page has offered an almost identical response to bargain hunters begging to know if the sale will be back as they did a year ago…
“Dillard’s has thousands of newly reduced prices and incredible deals to shop, but we will not be having an additional discount on permanently reduced merchandise.”

Don’t really know how Dillards can compete with all the other stores that have such great sales. We have heard that they have been closing for years. There is never anyone in the store. This was the one day that people shopped there!
Bummer, use to shop there all the time. Prices aren’t that great but new years day sales were the best. You ran into friends and got some great deals. Dillards can’t compete with Macy’s or Nordstrom.

Having worked at Dillard’s, I am not surprised they cancelled their New Year’s Day sale. Sadly, Dillard’s corp is only interested in the bottom line. The customer service taught by upper management was side with the company, not the customer. I loved working there, but that was unbearable
I really don’t like shopping there because of their customer service, and really I don’t (maybe visit once/year, maybe twice?)Other places respect the customer. I will visit if they have extra off sale, like the new year’s 50% off but still a cautious buyer with their return policy.
