Listeria Recall Now Includes Frozen Waffles – Here’s What You Need to Know
Here are the details on this frozen waffle recall…
On October 18th, TreeHouse Foods Inc. announced the recall of certain frozen waffle products due to the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. This recall is being carried out with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA).
This issue was discovered through routine testing at the manufacturing facility, however, there have been no confirmed reports of illness linked to the recalled products to date. Anyone concerned about an illness should contact a healthcare provider.
The affected products were distributed throughout the United States and Canada and packed in various formats under several brand names like Clover Valley, Food Lion, Giant Eagle, Target’s Good & Gather, Walmart’s Great Value, Harris Teeter, Kodiak Cakes, Publix, Simple Truth, ALDI’s Breakfast Best, and more.
Consumers and retailers can identify the UPC on the back of the carton, and the Lot Code and Best By Date for these products on the end of the carton. Check your freezers for any of the products listed and dispose of them or return the recalled product to the place of purchase for credit.

Welp, when the recall is over we all know to buy the cheapest one because they are all made in the same place! Waffles- who would have thought? The lady in front of me was returning hers at Aldi and I was saying “Waffles? Really?”
The pic has three flavors of Kodiak cakes, only one I see on the recall list is the buttermilk vanilla. Assuming the pic is just a pic for pic purposes or maybe I had an oversight when reading the list? Can anyone confirm?
Hi there Amanda! If you look at the comprehensive list of brands/flavors potentially affected, you’ll find all flavors of Kodiak involved which includes Vanilla and Chocolate Chip (blueberry may or may not be as it’s listed under the Kodiak flavors but doesn’t have the brand name next to it. 🤔). Hope this helps!
Thank youuuu! 🙂
You’re so welcome! 💕
Thanks for the list. Just bought gluten free from Trader Joe’s and was wondering. Not on your list, so should be good.
You’re welcome, Lori! Glad your waffles weren’t affected 😊
Is save a lot’s brand on the list? Morning delight?
It does not look like that one is on the list, Alicia! 🙌
