Poppi’s parent company, VNGR Beverage, has agreed to an $8.9 million class action settlement over claims that its prebiotic sodas were misleadingly marketed as being “gut healthy.”

The lawsuit, filed in June 2024, accused Poppi of exaggerating gut health benefits. While the company denies any wrongdoing, it has agreed to settle and will adjust its future marketing.

Who’s Eligible?

U.S. residents who purchased Poppi prebiotic sodas for personal use (not for resale) between January 23rd, 2020, and July 18th, 2025, may qualify for cash back.

Payouts (per household):

  • $0.75 per single can
  • $3 per 4-pack
  • $6 per 8-pack
  • $9 per 12- or 15-pack

You can claim up to $16 without a receipt, and if you provide proof of purchase, there’s no maximum limit on your claim. The minimum payout is $5 per household, but the final amount you receive may be adjusted based on how many valid claims are submitted.

The official settlement website, PoppiSettlement.com, is accepting claims. The deadline to file your claim is September 26th, 2025. Payouts will be sent 90 to 120 days after final court approval and can be issued by check, PayPal, or Zelle.
