And you don’t have to sign up for a new account. I just signed up using my current account and had to give them a copy of my schedule to prove I am a student.
Do you have to be a full time student to qualify ? I have a valid student email address and starting some classes next week but not full time
It worked when I was a 3/4 time student last year. It also worked because I just finished comm. college and am now going to UMW, because I have a different school email now. 🙂
I just signed up a few weeks ago and haven’t even started class yet. I’m will be going to college 1/2 time starting Aug 21st. I didn’t have to sign up for a new account either. All they needed to verify was my .edu email address.
*I will be going
I just bought a .edu email on eBay for $3 and signed up using that and got 6 months free and $49 a year after that!
Seems to easy, what other info does Amazon require to make this work?
Details please and thank you.
I just typed in edu email at Ebay and a bunch came up. They also say 6 mos free Amazon. I paid $1.99 and got it in about 30 minutes. They sent e-mail and password and I had to go to g-mail and sign in. Than I just went to Amazon and clicked to buy prime and there was a link that said other memberships, I think. There I could choose college student. I put in my new address and all I had to do was click on the link they sent me and I was all set.
We were so excited when after signing my daughter up for her classes at UW, we came home and signed up for 6 months free of prime with her new edu. Silly to be excited since her college is 60 grand haha, but exciting none the less. now for my PSA: I hope that people who aren’t actually in college don’t take advantage and ruin the program. It’s meant for students, and you are defrauding amazon if you are not a student.
Agreed!!
I agreed with you. It is things like this that cause company’s to stop programs who can help out college students.
why do they need a credit card?
