My fiance and I have been LOVING our Adventure Challenge couples books, so I hopped on the new Kids edition the second I saw them! I thought it would be a fun way to end summer with my three kiddos. They’re 12, 11, and 7, so I thought it would be perfect.

Unfortunately, my oldest two have not enjoyed the challenges. They’re pretty mature for their age, so this particular book was a total fail for them. That said, my 7-year-old was totally engaged with each challenge and thought all of them were exciting and fun. I would definitely recommend this book for younger kiddos, depending on their maturity levels, but as a mom, I’d say 9-10 and younger would be more appropriate.

Although this challenge book didn’t quite turn out the way I thought, it wouldn’t stop me from buying one of their books down the road because I absolutely love the other ones we have. This is just a great reminder to really know which Adventure Challenge book would be most suitable for you so you get the most out of it. – Hip Sidekick, Sara

Using the video recorder on your phone, have one person start a completely made-up story – but just for ten seconds! That person then passes the phone to their right, and the next person records for ten seconds before passing it on to the next person. Go until everyone has contributed three times. The last person to go has to end the story. Complete this challenge in the car while driving somewhere. – Family Edition, page 27

Just look at the symbols near each scratch-off box, and it will tell you if you need daylight/nighttime, approximately how many minutes, if it is indoors/outdoors, if it involves getting wet or making a mess, if there’s food involved, AND about how much it will cost.
