I Usually Pass on Protection Plans & Warranties, But This One is FREE!! Yes, Free!
Get a Mulberry warranty for 12 months of free accident protection!
There’s a new way to protect your purchases. 🔒
I’ll be the first to admit that I almost always pass on protection plans and warranties for my purchases. That’s not because I don’t want them, but because they’re usually too pricey in my opinion.
If I’m already shelling out a lot of cash for an item, the last thing I want is to spend even more on a protection plan that, realistically, I may never even use.
But if the protection plan is free? You can bet I’ll be taking advantage of that–especially during the holidays! And with the Mulberry extension, you can get a free 12-month protection plan worth up to $135 for almost anything you buy online! 😱
I know you’re thinking this seems too good to be true…
I was certainly giving Mulberry the full inspection before downloading because as they say, “nothing in life is free.” 😆 But in this case, that saying thankfully doesn’t hold up.
Mulberry’s 12-month protection plans are, indeed, 100% FREE!
They provide an option to extend your protection for longer, but you will have to pay a bit if you opt for that. In fact, by offering paid warranty extensions (which are a popular option among customers), Mulberry has the capability to provide their signature free 12-month plans. It’s a win-win for everyone!
However, I think 12 months is a really generous length of time to offer free protection. There’s no risk or downside to getting the Mulberry extension, and I’ve also been really impressed with the variety of eligible items!
Mulberry offers totally free accident protection, so if anything happens to your purchase you’ll still be covered.
We’re talking cracked screens, spills & stains on the couch, broken zippers & jewelry clasps, and any of the other 1000 ways we can accidentally damage our purchases.
Mulberry’s customer service is also top-notch, and they’re more than willing to walk you through the steps should you need to use that plan.
With the holidays coming up, there’s no better time to score some extra peace of mind!
Mulberry doesn’t just offer plans for tech and electronics items. They’ll cover a surprisingly wide range of purchases from furniture to jewelry to clothing and more, so chances are those Christmas presents you’ve got your eye on will be eligible for coverage. 🙌
It’s also a great option when it comes to getting gifts for kiddos who aren’t always the gentlest when it comes to their toys.
Hip Tip: Speaking of gifts, have you ever heard of the 4 Gift Rule? It’s a wonderful way to make the holidays less financially stressful & prevent unnecessary waste!
And believe it or not, they even cover some items from smaller/individual sellers!
If you love visiting sites like Etsy for personal or custom-made goods, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Mulberry’s protection plans are compatible with many of those items as well!
Even though Mulberry can be used at over 5,000 online retailers, I didn’t realize that they also included some independent sellers. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it does!
The Mulberry warranty extension is easy to use & checks item eligibility in seconds.
Here’s a quick rundown on how to install & use the Mulberry extension:
- To start, you’ll want to open (or download) the Google Chrome web browser.
- Then, head over to Mulberry’s extension download page.
- Select “Add to Chrome.” You’ll be taken to the Chrome Web Store page, so just hit “install” to finish the download.
- Next, you’ll want to pin it to your Chrome Extensions toolbar. Click that little icon that looks like a puzzle piece, find the Mulberry button, and click the pin button. It’ll become blue once it’s pinned and you’ll see Mulberry’s “M” icon in the top right.
Now you’re ready to start using it!
Just visit a webpage with an item you’d like to buy (I was checking out this team-favorite Revlon Hair Dryer in the above photo), click the “M” icon, enter the item name and price, and Mulberry will tell you whether or not it’s eligible for protection. It’s super simple!
After you’ve decided to get a plan, you’ll need to make a Mulberry profile, but that only takes a minute or two.
There are a few limitations to a Mulberry warranty.
First, Mulberry’s warranties & protection services are only offered for items worth $2500 or less. I personally don’t find this to be an issue since making purchases that large is really rare for me. It’s also only applicable to purchases made online, but again, that’s totally fine with me since I’m an online shopper anyway (even my groceries get ordered online for pickup 😆).
Unfortunately, Mulberry isn’t available on mobile, and that aspect does bum me out a little since I do the majority of my shopping through my phone. But as long as I remember to bookmark the items I want to check, that problem is solved.
Other than those minor inconveniences, I really can’t think of a single downside to using Mulberry.
I’m always on the lookout for drawbacks because as much as I may like a product, I also like to keep it real, and chances are it’s not perfect.
In this case, though, I genuinely think the Mulberry extension is something everyone can benefit from whether you typically get product protection or not, especially as you’re scooping up deals during seasonal sales or gifts for your loved ones!
Need an idea for the perfect gift? We’ve got loads of them!
Has anyone actually placed a claim with them and been reimbursed or had the product replaced? How difficult is it to do that?
I had the same thoughts
Thanks! Yes I do wish this was on mobile as well.
I bought insurance on throw rugs and it was Mulberry. After a few months, a cup of coffee was spilled and stained the rug. I contacted them and they sent out a guy to spot clean the rug. When he showed up, he said he would need to clean the entire rug (10×12) because the spot clean will look funny. Mulberry contacted me back and sent out a replacement rug. The rug was almost a grand to replace but they did it. I was very happy with the experience.
Thank you so much!
So, I guess I’m confused. Why is it free? How do they make money? In other words, what’s the catch?
Exactly! I was thinking the same thing. There has to be a way for them to make money or they would go under.
That answer is in the post. It says in the post that you can purchase a longer warranty (more than 12 months) but customers have to pay a bit for those. It’s a popular option among their customers. So, they’re able to offer a 12 month warranty, free, for all customers. They use the funds, from the extended warranty, to float the cost of the free 12 month warranty.
When something is free to us as a consumer, we are the commodity of value. So what they are gaining is our shopping trends and information.
Absolutely. That is worth a lot in the marketing world.
The App is a browser extension…meaning they will be seeing everything you search for, every web page you visit, so in essence spying. They will most likely sell that info (profiting from your search) to another web marketing Co. – much like google – So if your ok with giving all that info out with no say-so…then “it’s free”.
I’m no tech expert, but I think when it’s a browser extension they collect your data and that can be monetized. Anyone know for sure? If not this sounds amazing!
Yep!
For sure that is what their doing. But we are being tracked in so many ways it almost seems minuscule at this point.
You guys must get a lot of commission on this because you’ve post it wayyyy too much!!!
This is the first time we’ve posted this offer. If you are seeing it more than once, it may be a popular post. When a post is marked as popular, it will repeat in the feed.
So every post that is on my app day after day is because its so popular. It sounds good but we all know you get paid to post them. I read a few years ago on THIS app in the fine print type of stuff and where Collin introduces herself etc … That companies can pay to get a post up and depending on what they pay for they can get it bounced up to the top multiple times and/or have it reposted a few times. To say that is is coming through so often is talking to us like children. We all know this is a commission style business and that you are not just posting things for fun. We are adults its ok to agree with a commenter rather than say “politician” answers.
Pay no mind to the negative ones. I’m on this app 10-15 times a day. This is the first time I’ve seen it posted. I’ve followed you guys for YEARS. I’m sure they don’t realize that being negative will do nothing but make you want to quit the site
Thank you, nessmsith04! ❤❤ The Hip2Save team works tirelessly to ensure the content is valuable.
Why do you care? You people that comment on commission must be jealous or something. Would you do all this hard work for free? I come here to find great deals that I never would have found on my own, or new products I never knew about. For all the work they do, they deserve to get paid. Thinking of how much money they are making never even comes to mind. As long as I’m saving money, I’m happy. Post away Hip2save, I just pass up things that don’t interest me, AS OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD DO!!!
🤗❤ It can’t be overstated the sense of gratitude felt by the Hip2Save team for your patience and understanding.
No one cares that they make money, nobody works for free but don’t lie about it.
This place is a business that needs revenue. No need to give the people working here a hard time. They are only doing their jobs while helping us to have a little fun and find good deals.
🤗🤗
It’s like some don’t realize those commissions keep the site running and the posts coming!
I appreciate all y’all doooooo…. 🥰

There are 2 day old comments from a post from today? Why erase my comment?
Only posts that are complimentary will be put up now. The point I made is that a post from TODAY has comments from 2 days ago.
Charlie, I deleted your comment because you are posting as different people/names in response to your own comment.
As Jennifer answered, this is the only time we have posted this offer. The post went live on December 2nd. Because it is a popular post with readers, we mark it with a popular tag which means it will show up in your feed about every 25-ish posts. It’s just a way to help popular content reach more readers that might have missed it when it was first posted. We rotate popular posts nightly so this one will be changed out here in just a bit. Hope this helps.
