Hi ladies, I am looking for some good bras for my mom. She is over 70 yrs old and has a hard time with bra with back closure. We are looking for a good bra with front closure. Anyone has any recommendation on bra for elder? She is an average (M) size woman. Thanks much.
It looks like Amazon has cotton front closure Fruit of the Loom. Also found options at JCPenney. Just google front closure bra for elderly. Good luck
I had shoulder surgery last year and still have trouble reaching behind my back. I bought the Fruit of the Loom front closure bras on Amazon. They were reasonably priced and super easy to do up. They are more like a sports bra so not always super flattering but they did the job.
Check out Aerie. For what I saw on its Instagram page, some bras even have little thumb hoops to make it easy for women with disabilities.
Am I the only one who found these bras comfortable but not at all flattering under a t-shirt? Maybe they don’t work as well for smaller ladies (I’m a 34B-C).
I agree with you. I’m a 36C and while I found them just OK, they’re not as flattering as other bras I own. And certainly not worth $68 in my eyes. So, I returned it.
Another issue I have with this company is that nowhere on their website or their emails does it mention that the $5.99 shipping is non-refundable. I contacted customer service and received this response. If I would’ve known it wouldn’t be refunded, I honestly wouldn’t have tried the bra. $5.99 is a practically a tank of gas! 🥺
Might be a great company, but they need to be explicit with their fees. If they will not refund the $5.99 for shipping, it needs to be clearly written everywhere before you click the “purchase” button.
Anyway, that’s my experience with this company. Just putting it here so that other ladies know.
Agreed! I tried to love them, especially considering the price, but I find them much less flattering, actually flattening. I tried several sizes and had help from their stylists, bit they’re just not for me.
I totally agree and I am not a smaller lady. They are comfortable, so I use them as an “around the house” only and wear another more uplifting brand for when I need to have the girls front and center! Definitely would not wear them out with a t-shirt as they are not at all flattering (evidently no matter what size you are).
I guess I’m too big for them- they don’t have my size. Why aren’t plus size deals and items talked about more on H2S?!?
I’ve been wearing Evelyn and Bobbie bras for a year and like them. I think they only have 3 styles, all wireless. I wear a size 38H in traditional sizing and at Evelyn and Bobbie XL fits perfect. They do have sales, so get on their email list.

These used to be my all time favs, but they always fell apart within a few months and started to look ragged (I’ve bought at least 8 pairs and it always happened). I never ever had a problem with poking underwires before these, either (again, after a few months). Just a fair warning, maybe it was just me!

Question for you ladies that own the form seamless v neck wireless bra. Would you say the padding provides full coverage from showing when the headlights are on? I struggle with that.

Full disclosure — I don’t have the specific bra you’re asking about, but I wanted to mention that while the padding is more lightweight on the ThirdLove bra I have (the Pima Cotton T-Shirt Bra), I still think it provides enough coverage for said “headlights” 😂 , or at least in my experience it does. I know the Form Seamless also has foam padded cups meant for support and coverage. Lina has this bra so I’ll let her weigh in with her thoughts as well, but hoping I could be somewhat helpful!

I went to the thrift store today and saw a lot of these in the bra section, barely used, just xed on the label….
Guess I’m a fan of Fredericks of Hollywood bras. They seem to last the longest of any bras that I have purchased in the past, including VS. Lots of pretty styles and colors. Wish they still had stores in the mall, but online ordering is fine. As a side note, I also like their lingerie bags for washing your delicates.

I get mine at Lane Bryant and usually pay about $25 for them when they have sales. I love them but it is hard to find full coverage with wires. I need wires. I quit wearing VS years ago cause they seemed to fall apart all the time. I love Lane Bryant bras but I think I might try one of these. Size is going to be a problem cause what I wore at VS is not the size I wear at Lane Bryant or JC Penney. LOL
So just asking..everyone said those Soma bras were their fave when they were on sale, now these..so what’s the difference??!!

Can anyone tell me: How do these do on the back bumps? The back fat. I have been buying Vanity Fair “beauty back” bras because the way they are sewn, they are the only ones that smooth out the back bumps. But I’m not loving how they look on the front
I’m trying to figure out the straps on the T-shirt bra. They look so bumpy that it seems they’d show up against a T-shirt. I looked it up and this is how it describes it. “Luxe pleated straps with super-soft lining for no-slip comfort”. I still don’t think it makes sense to me why the fronts (against your clothing are pleated). Does anyone that has these know why and do they show bumps through the T-shirt shoulder?
I originally thought the straps were SO intimidating, CJ, so I totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve been really impressed with the straps. They are comfortable, supportive, and are seamless with any shirt I wear. I hope this helps!
I really like the straps on the third love bras. Their sports bra is pretty comfy as well. Unfortunately, the wires on the tshirt bra really start to bug my ribs. I’m 57, and at that age (at least I think it’s my age doiong it) where any underwire bra is only comfy for about an hour. Anyone else out there have a super sensitive “bra band” area?
I recently bought my first on to try. Have you ever had issues “hearing” the wire? Mine makes noise when I move around and it’s rather annoying. I’m wondering if it’s a flaw with this one in particular. I want to love this brand bc I’ve heard so many wonderful things…

I am not a fan of these. I tried, I wanted to love them. But they weren’t for me. I’m a 36C and my favorite bra ever is Evelyn and Bobbie. So comfortable and supportive at the same time.
