★★Patriotic Trifle: Easy 4th of July Dessert★★
If you’re looking for a fun, easy and festive no-bake 4th of July dessert, check out this yummy patriotic trifle! With just 4 ingredients, it’s a simple way to serve up a delicious red, white, and blue treat for your celebration. What’s better than sweet summer berries, pound cake, and whipped cream?
EASY PATRIOTIC TRIFLE
Make this fun patriotic trifle that can be used for any holiday, such as July 4th, Veterans Day and Memorial Day!
Ingredients
- 1 large loaf of Pound Cake
- 1 Pint Strawberries
- 1 Pint Blueberries
- Can of real whipped cream
Directions
1
Cut the pound cake in half lengthwise. Use a cookie cutter to cut as many stars as possible. Put aside scraps of cake.
2
Cut strawberries in half (or fourths if really big!). Start with a layer of fruit at bottom, and then place stars around the sides of trifle dish standing up as shown.
3
Add some berries and whipped cream around the edges and sides of stars as well.
4
I placed the scraps of pound cake in the middles and topped with more whipped cream and berries.
There really is no right or wrong way to do this; however, I do recommend using real whipped cream because it tends to maintain the pretty peaks longer. Also, I cut all my stars ahead of time and then compiled it right before serving (if you make this in advance, the whipped cream starts looking “melty” pretty quickly!
Note: I used a family sized loaf from Sara Lee, but you could also use 2 smaller loaves.
Don’t have a trifle bowl? Create these fun kabob style treats. I used the same ingredients as above and added some raspberries as well. Super easy!
