campfire cones on grill

Campfire Cones are fun to make AND eat!

Gooey marshmallow-filled campfire cones are a fun twist to traditional s’mores and can be customized with endless possibilities! It’s always such a crowd-pleasing dessert as everyone can fill with their favorite add-ins, and these campfire cones cook up in a cinch.

Who knew ice cream cones could be so versatile?!

While s’mores are a simple treat already, waffle cones make for such a fun variation since they are a little crispier and are perfect for a handheld snack. And don’t let the term “campfire” cones throw you! While these can be cooked over a fire, you can also make them on the grill or in the oven!

In fact, we even had a reader mention she made these in the microwave (without the foil, of course) and stood the cone upright in the microwave by placing it inside a coffee mug.

Rolos would be so good. We usually use Reese’s for regular s’mores but will definitely try rolos when we try the cones

We had these tonight and they were delicious. Recommend putting the grill on low and doing them for 5 or less minutes. Ooey and gooey. Thanks!

We had a large group, so didn’t want to have so many cones in the fire, then not knowing who’s was who’s. The solution was to wrap the foil with some extra on the top to make a place to put the campfire fork through the foil. We then had to kids put them in the firs just as they were toasting marshmallows.

If you use the air fryer, do you need to cover in foil? What temp should the air fryer be at?

This just popped up as a memory for me and I thought why the heck not fill it all the way and when you take it out go ahead and put in a scoop of ice cream! Yum yum
