Let’s Taco ’Bout carnivore meat chips and how to make them!

Need a protein-packed snack that meats your cravings without wrecking your goals? Let me introduce you to yummy, crunchy carnivore chips with 22 grams of protein per serving!  This taco-flavored, high-protein, guilt-free chip is the answer to your salty snack dreams.

With just ground turkey, taco seasoning, and a pinch of baking soda, you’re only a few steps away from crispy, savory, chip-shaped magic.

We first spotted this trend on Instagram via Lanie Cooks. She used ground chicken. I tried it with ground turkey, and it worked great. I used my favorite Siete spicy taco seasoning to really up the flavor level, as it’s incredibly yummy!

Chips and salsa, but make them carnivore style!

Once baked, these turkey chips are ready to salsa their way right into your snack routine. Consider dipping them in your favorite chunky salsa, pico de gallo, or guacamole, and you’ll forget all about tortilla chips. It’s chips and salsa, but make it buff.

I love this version of low-carb high high-protein chips and salsa. It’s unique, delclious, and if done right, has a great crunchy texture you’ll love.

Tips for making this easy carnivore chips recipe:

  • If you don’t roll the meat thin enough, they won’t turn out crispy! My first try at carnivore chips was actually a big fail. You want to roll these out so paper-thin that they are a little see-through. This will ensure a crispy chip.
  • Season as desired. I used half a packet of spicy taco seasoning, but if you’d like more, then feel free. Switch up the seasoning to make it Italian, spicy buffalo, or smoky BBQ to customize this idea.
  • Be careful not to burn them. Keep checking a few minutes before the cook time to make sure they don’t get too black. Every oven is a little different. Mine takes about 30 minutes to crisp nicely.
  • Carnivore chips are meal prep-friendly. Make a batch, store in an airtight container, and snack smart all week.
