Hip tips for making this Mini Corn Dog Muffins recipe:
- Any mini muffin tin will work for this recipe, but a flexible silicone mini muffin pan makes it super easy to pop your muffins out when they’re done.
- If you’re using a metal pan, don’t skip the cooking spray! If you don’t spray, you’ll likely have a hard time getting your muffins out of the tin without butchering them. They’ll still be yummy, but not nearly as cute!
- We really enjoyed eating these as-is after cooling a bit straight from the oven, but they would also be good served with ketchup and mustard for dipping.
- If you have any leftovers (doubtful, but just in case…), these mini corn dog muffins reheat really well and are delicious the next day!
They’re both a kid and adult-favorite snack!
My kids were seriously impressed with these fun little snacks. In fact, I heard “This is the best thing ever, Mom.” 😊 If you have any corn dog enthusiasts in your house, I think they’ll love them, too. This is the kind of thing I know my kids will be requesting over and over again!
One warning, though: without the wooden stick found in traditional corn dogs to slow you down, it’s a little too easy to eat a large quantity of these poppable treats in one sitting! These bite-sized corn dog muffin snacks are the perfect mouthful of sweet and savory bliss, and you seriously won’t be able to eat just one. Enjoy!

I found this recipe 2 years ago and this is now a staple in both my kids lunches! So easy, freezer friendly. I literally pop them in lunch kit and by lunch they are thawed!
Thanks April! So glad you love them 👏❤️
Yes, the same. I found this years ago and I always make it on Super Bowl Sunday. Also, I use the recipe for corn bread. It’s great!
That’s awesome! Thank you for sharing!
I will have to try these!! thank you!
Can you use sugar substitute and different flours?
Yes I’m sure you could try experimenting with a gluten free flour and maybe monk fruit or other sugar sub. 🙌
Great idea! I LOVE corndogs and am so tired of trying to get them covered with mix and would rather not fry. Can’t wait to try it out! Thanks!
Can milk be used instead of buttermilk?
We used Macadamia milk, and it turned out great!
What is the best way to reheat these?
I am planning to make them for my daughter’s birthday and would like to make them in advance if possible. Can I make them a few days and ahead and store in the fridge?
Yes, I am sure the microwave or the air fryer would be perfect if you have one!
Still my favorite cornbread recipe! Will be making this again this year!
Oh hooray! I am so glad ❤️
can u use a silicone muffin pan instead of a metal muffin pan
Hey Brandi! Yes, you could do that. 🤗 A silicone mini muffin pan makes it super easy to pop your muffins out when they’re done. 🙌
When I decided to try this, I looked at how many it made and seriously considered halving the recipe in case my kids weren’t fans.
My 7 yr old son asked for seconds and my husband took thirds (my two year old ate the hot dog out of the middle lol).
Suffice to say there were only about 10 leftover, which my husband is already looking forward to for lunch tomorrow.
I’m looking forward to a new school lunch item for my hard to feed kiddo!
Thanks for the idea!
Oh yay!! So glad jen! Wishing you all a wonderful school year ❤️👏 Thanks for stopping by!
