Easy & Delicious Keto Meatballs

Easy Keto Meatballs

yield: 5 SERVINGS

prep time: 5 MINUTES

cook time: 40 MINUTES

total time: 45 MINUTES

Ingredients

Directions

1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2

In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat and the rest of the listed ingredients, excluding the marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. I like to use a potato masher to incorporate all of the ingredients together.

3

Roll two-inch sized meatballs and place them on a baking pan. This recipe should yield about 15 meatballs.

4

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

5

Take meatballs out of the oven and spoon about a tablespoon of Rao's Homemade Marinara Sauce, or another no-sugar-added sauce, over the meatballs. Sprinkle a small amount of mozzarella cheese over each meatball.

6

Put meatballs back in the oven for 15-20 minutes to melt cheese.

7

Serve over roasted spaghetti squash, zucchini noodles, or roasted veggies. YUM!

Hi! This was the first keto recipe I’ve made, and it was so easy and delicious. I did have a question, though…under the nutritional information, it says that serving size is 5 meatballs, but the recipe says it makes 15 meatballs and 5 servings. So is the serving size 3 meatballs and not 5? I just wanted to confirm so I’m tracking everything in MFP correctly. Thank you!

Thanks for catching that! The serving size is 3 meatballs and we will get that updated!

If I substitute ground turkey for ground beef how does this change the nutritional information

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! With a quick search it looks like 1lb of ground turkey has 680 calories, 38 grams of fat & 0 carbs.
By comparison it looks like 1lb of ground beef (depending on the % fat you might purchase) has 1148 calories, 92 grams of fat & 0 carbs.
      Hoping this is helpful!

The instructions say 2 tbsp. of marinara but the ingredients say 3/4 cup?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You’ll need 3/4 cup total and you’ll spoon about a teaspoon over each meatball. Hope this helps!
