Grinch inspired kabobs

We’re crazy about Dr. Seuss at our house so here is a fun and easy snack to go along with the book and movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We love that it is made up mostly of fruit and is easy take to go. This would be a fun treat for class parties, kid’s lunches, or any holiday celebration with kids.

Any ideas on what to put the banana in to keep from turning?

    • HK

Toss it with some apple juice.

    • Heather C.

Toss them in a little lemon juice. Works perfectly! 🙂

I made little goblin bananas for my sons preschool. I soaked them in orange juice for about 10 minutes before putting them together. It seemed to work for at least 3or 4 hours. I didn’t want to do lemon juice because I didn’t think the toddler would appreciate lemon flavored bananas 🙂

  4. Denise

Cute! Perfect for my picky eating nephew.

  5. carrie

I want to make these for my son’s class. How could I prevent the bananas from browning?

    • RT

Google is your friend, lol! Coat them with citrus juice of some kind. Orange, lemon, lime, pineapple etc.
