Make These 3-Ingredient Fried Oreos Using the Air Fryer!
If you’ve got an air fryer & about 4 minutes, make some fried Oreos! 🤤
Fried Oreos are a popular state fair snack that is so simple and fun to make at home using the air fryer for convenience instead of heating up oil on the stove. Older kids can even make 3-ingredient air fryer Oreos by themselves as a quick treat idea.
We made this on Instagram here…
The result is a softened, warm chocolate Oreo surrounded by a perfectly flaky sweet dough that’s honestly so unexpectedly delicious!
When my daughter showed this idea to me after having seen it on TikTok, I was a little skeptical that it wouldn’t work out as well as frying in oil. However, we surprisingly loved this air-fried Oreo treat, and they are so easy to make too! This recipe hack actually reminded me of the 5-minute air fryer donut recipe we have featured in the past.
Tips for making the best fried Oreos in the air fryer:
-
- I used chocolate Oreos here, but I think experimenting with other flavors like the Golden Oreos would be so YUM!
-
- Don’t skip the part about greasing the inner air fryer pan to avoid any sticking. I brushed mine with butter first.
-
- I placed the cookies with the seam facing down and they turned out perfect. Just make sure the dough completely covers the cookie.
-
- Cook times could vary slightly. 4 minutes worked perfectly on my machine, and I do not preheat my air fryer.
Air Fryer Fried Oreos
yield: 8 SERVINGS
prep time: 10 MINUTES
cook time: 4 MINUTES
total time: 14 MINUTES
Flaky sweet dough dusted with powdered sugar with a soft Oreo in the middle.
Ingredients
- 8-count package of refrigerated crescent rolls (such as Pillsbury crescent rolls)
- 8 Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
Directions
1
Open the container of crescent rolls. Separate each triangle and roll it into a ball, slightly warming up the dough with your hands.
2
Flatten the ball into a circle. Place the Oreo on top and cover it with the dough making sure to seal the seams.
3
Place about 4 dough-wrapped Oreos into an oiled or greased air fryer basket, making sure they are not too crowded.
4
Set air fryer to 400 degrees for four minutes, or until the dough-covered Oreos are browned and cooked through. I did not need to preheat my air fryer.
5
Take the fried Oreos out of the air fryer and roll them into the powdered sugar. Repeat with the remaining four pieces of dough. Enjoy!
These taste even better than the photos I was able to take!
What a cute little fair-inspired snack! It would be a fun idea to host a gathering and make it a theme of all summer fair-inspired foods like corn dogs, air fryer churros, and these fried Oreos!
Here’s what my teammate Jenna had to say about fried Oreos:
“I can say with certainty I will make these again… and often! They’re so easy to throw together with just 3 ingredients I often have on hand! It takes a minute or two of prep and you’ve got a dessert the whole family will love! We are big Oreo fans in this house and this recipe takes Oreos to the next level! Grab a glass of milk and dig in!
P.S. My 9-year-old would like me to tell you all that these are great with Hershey’s syrup drizzled on top! 😂“

Yum!! There’s a restaurant here that serves fried Oreos all the time lol. They’re delicious!
Oh nice! I would totally order them 🙌
My air fryer will only go to 400 degrees. Anyone try it with a lower temp?
Oh my so sorry! That was a typo. 400 degrees is correct. I will fix it now. Thanks!
We made these tonight as a family, and loved them. So good!!!
Oh yay! Glad you enjoyed!
