DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend for Holiday Recipes
Planning to do lots of fall dessert baking? Make this easy DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice Recipe!
Every year around this time, I find myself going through a lot of pumpkin pie spice as I whip up my favorite pumpkin recipes during the holiday season. This got me thinking about how it may be beneficial to make a larger batch of spiced seasoning to use in all the recipes I plan on making instead of buying the blend!
This blend is made from easy-to-find ground spices that can quickly be mixed up and used to make everything from pumpkin spiced coffee creamer to pumpkin pie.
One benefit of mixing your own spice blend is that you can leave out additives like the sulfiting agents typically found in store-bought blends. Plus, making your own is usually more cost-effective than buying a tiny container of a pre-mixed spice blend, especially if you already have these spices on hand at home.
A few recipe tips when making this DIY Pumpkin Pie Spice Blend:
- You’ll need to grab these seasonings individually. To save money, buy them in bulk or look for them at Dollar Tree or on sale at your local grocery store.
- Spice blends make great DIY holiday gifts! Put a batch into a small 2 oz. glass jar as a thoughtful gift for a fellow pumpkin spice fan!
- This recipe makes 8 teaspoons worth of pumpkin spice, so double or even triple the batch if you’re planning on using it for lots of fall baking.

Love this idea! Thank you.
Fantastic. I would try this as a low calorie drink: Unsweetened almond milk, pumpkin, Stevia, protein powder, the spice mix, and perhaps some ice. In the blender, of course!
