These M&Ms Monster Energy Bites turned out awesome and are a variation of our popular Oatmeal Energy Bites recipe. What a great portable snack to put together before a road trip, hike, or for after school.
Keep some Monster Energy Bites in the fridge or freezer for when you need a bite of something sweet! YUM.
I love these yummy energy balls..Awesome healthy treat. I make mine minus the m&ms .. just the chocolate chips. Awesome quick energy treat!
Yay! I agree 😀
I love these for a quick breakfast! I also leave out the chocolate.
I made these today before I read this post. Wish I would have thought about M&m’s because I actually have some on hand. I will put them in my next batch. My kids will love it, thanks!
Sure! Enjoy Jennifer 😀
Ground flax seed do kids even realize it’s in there if I put it in?
Nope they don’t. 😀
These are delicious! I add brewer’s yeast and give it to new mom friends for lactation support 🙂
I add sunflower kernels & 1/4 c. Cocoa to mine. I have some in the fridge now. So yummy!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing 👍
You don’t need to toast the oats before making these?
No.
I went to the Lavender Festival a couple of weeks ago and got some Lavender Honey and Rose Honey. I think I will use these and skip the chocolate for a more healthy bit flavorful version.
Very nice idea!
As a Registered Dietitian, I think you guys should know that “energy” is code for “high calorie” in food.
I agree….these some like uncooked cookies! I would NEVER think they were healthy but would make them if I wanted a cookie and not have to cook something!
*sound not some………..
True but perfect for my high schooler who eats like a bird and has to go right to soccer practice after school. I need things like this to get a lot of calories in only a few bites. I’ll chop up some almonds to add as well.
I add protein powder to mine!
Great idea!
Where can I find the nutritional value for these?
Never heard of them….are they like cereal bar texture? or crunch? And anyone know how many calories they would have?
How would minute oats work in this recipe?
hey guys can i take these on a backpacking trip with no cooler or is that a bad idea
Could you make this with gluten free oats as well?
Yes I’m sure that’d be great too!
