This Easy Sheet Pan Pancakes Recipe is a Genius Breakfast Hack!
Make a massive batch of pancakes with this sheet pan pancake hack!
Does your family love pancakes? 🥞
My kids love pancakes for breakfast and even as a quick snack, too. I’m always looking for small ways to make my life easier, and baking them in a sheet pan is such a simple way to make a huge batch all at once!
The result is a sheet pan of beautifully baked pancakes you can cut into squares and serve with your favorite syrup. I’m calling that a major mom win! 🙌
No more standing in front of the stove flipping pancakes.
Whether you’re having overnight guests or just prepping for a busy weekday, this recipe allows you to serve pancakes without hovering over the griddle. Just pop the pan into the oven and enjoy time with your family or get ready for the busy day ahead!
Even better, every pancake will be warm all at the same time! You can even divide the add-ins for two different tastes per sheet pan. This is perfect if your kids each prefer different kinds.
Here’s how to make pancakes in the oven…
Sheet Pan Pancakes (Two Flavors)
yield: 4 SERVINGS
prep time: 15 MINUTES
cook time: 15 MINUTES
total time: 30 MINUTES
Make fluffy pancakes using a sheet pan with these two delicious add-ins for a hands-off breakfast!
Ingredients
- 2 cups pancake mix (such as Bisquick)
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 banana, sliced thin
- 1/4 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips
- 4-5 strawberries, sliced thin
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- powdered sugar (for dusting)
- pancake syrup (as desired)
Directions
1
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Prep a 12x16 inch rimmed sheet pan with a sheet of parchment paper, and spray with non-stick oil.
2
To a mixing bowl, add pancake mix, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk ingredients together until batter is smooth.
3
Pour batter onto a sheet pan and smooth out evenly until it covers the entire pan.
4
Top sheet pan with sliced banana and chocolate chips on one side, and berries on the other side. Bake for about 5-15 minutes or until the desired doneness. They should be slightly browned and cooking times will vary. Serve by cutting into squares.
Hip Tips for making the best Sheet Pan Pancakes:
-
- I used Bisquick as my pancake mix, but you can use a gluten-free or a homemade mix/recipe. If you’re eating low-carb, I highly recommend these keto pancakes!
-
- I use a 12×16 inch rimmed sheet pan, and it works great.
-
- Cover the bottom of the rimmed pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking. I recommend spraying the pan with non-stick oil before baking as well.
-
- Completely customize your add-ins according to your family’s preference. I made them the way my kids like their pancakes, but you can come up with your own creative flavors!
-
- If you have leftovers, you can warm them up in the microwave the next day. Easy peasy!
Sheet pan meals are some of my favorite hands-off recipes, and this one is a winner. My kids really enjoyed these pancakes, and they even thought the process of making them was fun!
You could bake a sheet pan of bacon at the same time, which would be delicious and convenient, too!
Eating low carb?! Check out this EASY Keto Sheet Pan Pancakes recipe!
This looks delicious and a great quick way to serve breakfast and a snack. Thanks again Lina for your awesome recipes. Passing this on to my family/friends.
Thanks Juma! Enjoy!
I agree with u to
Never thought to do this. So convenient. Thanks
Right?! I loved this breakfast! Thanks Lori!
Love this!!!
thanks Jen!
Wow, this is so clever! Thanks, Lina!!!!!!!!
Sure Deb! Thanks for stopping by!
Love this! Are you adding the milk & eggs regardless if your mix needs them? For example, my mix just uses water…
Great! Oh I would maybe follow your mix’s recipe instructions then.
Thanks!!
All pancake recipes can use milk or water. just taste preference or what you have on hand! Iโm guessing bisquick still has whey in it and uses added milk as well. We use the bear protein mixes. You can use water, milk, milk and eggs. All options OK just variations in protein. I use whatever we have on hand. loooooooove this idea!!! Thanks
Regular Bisquick does not include any milk product in itโs ingredients. The recipe on the box does list milk and egg for pancakes but of course can be substituted.
Jennine, we do the Kodiak mixes too and I never make pancakes without milk and eggs now! ๐
I wonder how this would be with Kodiak pancakes…
I bet good! ๐ I like that brand too and want to try also.
Kodiak with milk and eggs is all we use, my kids love them and then I feel like theyโre at least somewhat nutritious ๐
can someone please suggest egg replacement for this recipe?
Use whatever your preferred egg-free pancake batter is, whether that’s using a mix or not.
There are recipes that use chia seeds as egg substitute google that and should help!
Recipe for egg substitute : To replace an egg, use 1 tablespoon of chia seeds mixed with 3 tablespoons of water and let the mixture sit for 15 to 20 minutes or you can prepare it the night before. Mix the chia seeds and water together in a small bowl and let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes until the mixture becomes gel.
Thank you, will try this recipe. ๐
I’m vegan and I usually use ground flax seeds and water for egg replacement in recipes for baking. One tablespoon of ground flax + 3 tablespoons of water = one egg. Whisk ground flax ( or stir vigorously with a fork) and let sit for about 5 minutes ’til it thickens. The chia seeds should work, I’m simply mentioning a common alternative.
I also use the flax โeggโ. It works well in most baked goods for me.
We use applesauce in place of eggs!
1/4 c applesauce per egg!
Agree with 1/4 c applesauce per egg. We also use 1 tsp baking soda, 1 Tbsp of white vinegar, and 1 Tbsp water mixed per egg if Iโm out of applesauce. Been baking egg free due to allergies for 13 years and these are always what I use.
I’ve made pancakes with Flaxseed meal (1 table spoon flaxseed meal + 3 table spoon water = 1 large egg) and my family loves it.
I use Krusteaz mix, pancake or waffle(just add water) to do this all the time. I also make muffins the same way. Both freeze and thaw really well for mornings when the kids and I are busy. If you want to freeze them though mash the fruit up really well then mix in before you pour, larger fruit and fruit on top can make them a little soggy after thawing.
Great tips thanks for sharing!
Muffins?? What a great idea!
This is a genius idea! The pancakes look delicious! Thank you for sharing all your awesome tips! I am going to have to try this! Thank you!!
Oh sure and thanks Allison for stopping by today! Enjoy ๐
These pancakes look amazing! Plus, everyone gets warm pancakes served at the same time.
Your post reminded me that I need to order a sheet pan. Got it for only $9.99. Thanks so much!
Mind blown!!!!
I second that!!! I never would have thought to try this. Genius! We do breakfast for supper on Sundays and tend to make extras pancakes for the week, but this is sooooo much better.
Neat idea, but cleaning that mess would take twice as long as regular pancakes…no thanks, I’m cringing at the pan lol
Not if you line it first with parchment paper – super easy cleanup actually ๐
Nice idea, but I find waffles are easier/quicker than pancakes — about two minutes for four at a time. I picked up a used Cuisinart waffle iron really cheap and use it constantly. You could make extra for later in the week. We just pop them in the toaster in the morning, then add whatever fruit on top. And none of it heats up the kitchen during the summer months.
Genius! Love!
Thanks Amy!
What a fun idea! Might have to try this soon (having a slumber party to celebrate my mom’s 80th – so this would be easy to fix in the morning. And, yep, it’s all “grown-ups” at the slumber party – girls only as the boys took a pass haha). Thanks for the idea.
Oh how fun!! I love that idea ๐ Have fun <3
Genius!!! I started cooking bacon in the oven a few years ago and have never stood babysitting hot grease, flipping bacon since! I use a $1 foil pan, bake the bacon, and toss the foil pan when Iโm done. Going to add this to my oven breakfast cooking!
How long would you bake if preparing a 1-lb package and at what temp? Love the disposable tin idea! Thanks!
It really depends on what kind of bacon. Some is thick some is thin. You kind of have to eyeball it, at least I do. I find typical bacon take about 15-20 minutes at 400 in my oven.
I always joke that itโs called bacon because youโre supposed to bake it! I use foil on a cookie sheet for easy clean up, and I put it in the oven at 400 for 16-18 mins.
I do this too, and then put all the bacon in a ziplock bag in the freezer. Warm up on the stove or eat right out of the bag! I make 2 lbs. at at time in the oven!
Linda, you are amazing. Do you have your own website? You need one.
Ahh THANKS YOU so much. So sweet MamaBear! No- Collin keeps me busy here! <3 lol
Genius!!
I’m glad you think so too!
Mind blown!! Parchment paper is my best friend so I can see how easy this would be. Love these helpful posts!
Thanks Karen!
I thought parchment paper is non stick? So you still spray on the paper or under it?
I have that question too!
I still sprayed just to make sure, but it’s up to you. ๐
But do you spray under the parchment paper or on top of it?
Oh on top of paper, and sides of pan – sorry didnโt know what you were asking. Hope that helps!
Lina, you creative soul, youโre at it again! ๐ What a great idea. Colin should feature you in your own videos!
Ah thanks Meghan- so sweet!
I love this, i don’t have to stand there flipping pancakes. Thanks
Yes!!! Enjoy โค๏ธ
Finally tried this, so easy and tasted great! My kids LOVED it. Cleanup was a breeze with using the parchment paper and spray. Only issue I had was smoothing the batter to cover the whole pan, but I used a spatula to spread it and it worked fine.
Perfect!! Hooray Jen- thanks for sharing โค๏ธ๐ฅฐ
Lina, google IHOP copycat pancake recipe, you’ll never go back once you make them. I was a Bisquick girl, but these scratch ones are delicious and easy to make.
oh thanks! I will Kim! ๐
Looks delicious .
What a great idea!! Can’t wait to try this!!
Thanks Meg- I think youโll enjoy!
I used parchment paper an spray, and the parchment paper still stuck to the pancakes. Why?
Could I freeze the extra you think by cutting in squares and reheating in toaster like if we did no add ins ? Do we follow our pancake mixโs individual instructions ?
Ya I think theyโd freeze well – and yes I would follow directions on your box. ๐
They do freeze well! I always freeze half.
How many sheets does this recipe make?
one sheet pan – thanks!
Has anyone tried this with the keto recipe?
I have the same question. For the keto version would you double the recipe in the link? Or use a smaller pan?
This recipe is making me adventurous. I am thinking of adding spinach and feta and black olives. Maybe not the olives.
Oh thatโs nice – I like yummy savory crepes, so this sounds great. Thanks fir sharing!
This is so awesome! I donโt make single pancakes anymore. I even simplified it and used the bisquick box (I need to use the gluten free and make the whole box for one pan.
Great! Thanks for sharing!
My daughter is obsessed with pancakes, so last year I turned this into her Birthday cake. Made it in a 9ร13 dish, whipped up some buttercream frosting with a little maple syrup & added crumbled bacon on top. She said it was the best Birthday cake ever….coming from a 7 year old ๐
Wow I love this creative idea! So fun and yummy ๐ Thanks for sharing โค๏ธ
Genius!
Thanks Iโm glad you like!
This is how I make my pancakes now. So much easier. Iโve started adding greek yogurt when I make them like this. Extra protein and extra yummy.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing <3
How about using those silicon mat things – instead of parchment paper? Has anyone tried using that?
Thanks for the vegan tips! I’ve bought the mixes that didn’t require eggs, but didn’t know there was an option. I’ve found soy/almond milk works just as well as regular milk and no one notices.
Perfect! Thanks for adding that Lisa!
Thank you for this great idea Lina. I made mine plain and then served with sautรฉed apples at the end. Delicious and so convenient!
Wow that sounds so yummy! Thanks for sharing Renee!
For the keto version would you double the recipe in the link? Or use a smaller pan?
Hi there! For that we could suggest gauging how much batter it makes, to deciding the size pan. About a half inch thick of batter is what is shown. Hope this helps!
Thank you for the recipe! I donโt often write comments but I have to say this was a life saver as I needed an easy breakfast dish for my high school daughterโs club this morning. It came out great!
Oh Iโm so glad it was a success! Thanks for stopping by to let us know โค๏ธ
Has anyone tried making these in a toaster oven?
made some this morning! yummy!
Perfect! Thanks!
I made these this morning for a pre Christmas treat for my kids and they came out perfect! I even cut out shapes with cookie cutters after letting them cool down a bit!! Quick and easy and clean up was a breeze!!!
Oh I love that idea for shapes!! Great thinking Kathe ๐โค๏ธ
Just made oven baked pancakes in dutch pan this morning after seeing this post on facebook. Used a recipe from allrecipes.com
Love the idea of oven baked,so much easier. Thank you ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Canโt wait to try this on the weekend! I just hate standing over the griddle constantly eyeballing the pancakes and then myself eating cold ones. Question: have you ever tried the recipe alternate for โlight and fluffyโ ones with sugar and vanilla or lemon juice sugar?
I’m hoping that CarbQuick will work just as well as Bisquick. This looks wonderful, and so easy!
Genius!! Why didnโt I think of this?! Omg Thank You!
Thanks Amanda! Enjoy!
My kids LOVED doing this! Thanks for sharing!!
Oh yay! Thanks for coming back to let us know Kari ๐
Made this for dinner tonight, my family loved it! We’re adding it to our family favorites list!
Weโre so glad. Thanks for sharing ๐
Saw your video on this a few months ago. Iโve been making them occasionally since and just use my regular pancake mix made as per directions and bake about 8-10 min! So easy and I donโt feel like I spent all morning at the stove!
