I like the idea of putting cash in a picture frame and have it say in case of emergency (or pizza) break glass (like the emergency fire ax signs) check out Pinterest I’ve found a ton of ideas there!

Im a special ed teacher and I love this idea. This is something I woukd be excited to get as well as give to my own childrens’ teachers. This year I found 50×60 fleece blankets on clearance at CVS for 30¢ each. A co work monogrammed each one for me with the teacher’s name in script for $5 each. I a little over $30 for 6 teachers was pretty good especially considering all they have done for is when we were struggling just to get food. If I could do more I definitely would because they deserve -its rare to find daycare teachers than genuinely love and care for children who arent there own

I would like to get Starbucks gift cards for my kids teachers.. I have 2 kids in Elementary so that’s 4 teachers and an 8th grader so that’s 7 teachers! What would be a good amount on each gift card? And should all 11 teachers get one? TIA

I have done a few easy things like purchase the Starbux cup & it has a gift receipt on the bottom. I tie a tag to the straw that it’s good for XYZ drink. I ask about their fav drink early in the year. They love it! Some I just order & bring it in for them esp Jr high because they are busy running copies, getting set up, coaching, etc. One teacher is a coach so I noticed that her practice ends around 530, I dropped by with a small bag that had ice cold water, fruit & a 100 cal snack pack. The next day she emailed me & said that she hadn’t eaten all day & it was perfect after a long practice. It wasn’t a ton but they enjoy things like that.

I’m a high school teacher. I cover all subjects for students with moderate intellectual disabilities. My favorite appreciation gifts are the homemade gifts. I’m happy with a sheet of paper with a drawing or a message. I have nine students. They do not switch classes. Mayra, from hearing my colleagues with 130 plus students anything will be appreciated. I would suggest a $5 Starbucks gift card for the high school teachers. You can make it special with a high five message or five great reasons why I appreciate you message. If you are able to spare a little more I would up it to $10. I would use a perfect ten message….. … From my observation, High school teachers usually do not receive as much compared to the elementary school teachers…Anything you give will be a great appreciation gift.

Hi Mayra, I am kind of in the same boat as you are. I had to purchase 9 teacher gifts in all. My daughter is 3rd grade and luckily just has 1 teacher, so I took advantage of the Kroger deals on the Fandango gift card. So I got 2 – $25 for $40, because it took $10 off at the register. I found the cute “Poppin” free printable here and will use that. I will save the other gift card to take the family to a summer matinee when the prices are cheaper. I wish I would have found this page before I spent $40 on 8 – $5 Smoothie King gift cards for the middle school teachers. I want to find a free printable that says something like enjoy a cool treat to start the summer or something like that.
I saw a cute inexpensive Redbox free printable that was more cost effective and I surely think a teacher would love that idea as well.
I wish I could personally thank all of my kiddo’s teachers and support staff for the job they do. Being a busy mom with a children at each of the three local schools ( HS, MS & ES) I just can’t make that happen. I like to take a basket to each of the schools to place in the “teacher lounge” (as if they had time to lounge!). I fill the basket with oranges, bananas, muffins and honey buns. I attach a note of thanks and a help yourself note. I can usually put together three large baskets for under $30 bucks. This way all the teachers and support staff can choose a little power snack to get through the day. God bless teachers!

I spent $50 on each teacher, my son has 2! I bought them both a gift card to redbox, one for food, and one for drinks at Sonic. I included coupons and added some candy. Not frugal but they deserve it!
