Don’t miss our list of the BEST Costco Warehouse Grocery Deals!
Thanks! I usually just send dh at Costco to shop, this is very helpful. 🙂
You’re very welcome, Clarizel! SO glad this list was helpful!
I’m interested in a Costco membership, but not sure if it is worth it. Costco is 1.5 hrs away, so we would only go maybe 4-6x/yr. my fear is I would purchase to much, but it seems like they have good quality and prices. With some prep and practice I think I can resist the urge for impulse.
What do you think? Is shopping at Costco a good way to save in the budget?
No, I don’t think it’s worth it if you live 1.5 hrs away. Personally, I think Costco is overrated. You want to save money goto Aldi and Dollar Tree.
I buy contacts for 3 people and the savings on those alone makes our membership worth it. I definitely have to stick to my list and not impulse buy. If you know your price points, you won’t overspend.
I’m also to the point where I’ll spend more on convenience. I’d rather buy some of the prepared meals for dinner because they are way less than going out to eat.
We’re a family of 7, soon to be 8, and a lot of the perishable items won’t get used before they go bad. So know how much you will really use, or be prepared to freeze or share to avoid waste.
Just my 2 cents. We waited almost 10 years before it made sense for our family, but every family is different! Hope this helps you decide.
Just get a Costco giftcard (then you can shop without the member card and I believe get the same deals). Unless you’re going to wherever Costco is that far away for something else I probably (personally) wouldn’t drive that far just for Costco
We order items on line, especially things on sale. $75 order gets 2 day free shipping. Not all items are available on line (they tell you in the ad) but many are. Just something else to consider when you can’t get to the actual store.
If you work the Costco membership with their co-branded credit card to get cash back it will pay for itself. Mine has for the past 10 years now. Buying items such as tires, batteries etc. can be just enough to cover you time/cost.
I love the jumbo cooker. Got a 2nd one and got rid of almost every other pot/pan!!!
Wow! If you got rid of other pots/pans, it must be amazing! Thanks, Jean!
I agree the jumbo teal is awesome! Got mine last time they had it on sale!
My savings on contact lenses and tires more than covers the membership. Travel deals are also great! you never know what you will find at Costco.
I got the Jumbo cooker last time it was on sale and that pan is Amazing!!! It totally works way better than the $90 pan my in-laws got us for our wedding!!
Wow! It’s so nice to hear as it costs way less than $90! Thanks, Jessica G.!
Is there a different way to cook wash clean…I can’t get to fry properly in my pan gets burnt:(
I cook using wooden/silicone utensils. I always hand wash with non abrasive sponge and air dry. And I season it occasionally.
We LOVE Costco! My husband always says “ If Costco doesn’t have it , you don’t need it “ LOL!
Are the ziplock sandwich bags, lysol toilet bowl cleaner and the Charmin toilet paper a good deal? I’m wondering if that is cheaper than purchasing them on sale at Target (combined possibly with coupons & Cartwheel)?
