** Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day Has Been Postponed Due to Coronavirus Concerns
We love sharing all the latest and best restaurant deals!
As you may remember from year’s past, Ben & Jerry’s always hosts FREE Cone Day in April and gives out FREE ice cream with no purchase required!
Unfortunately, Ben & Jerry’s has made the decision to postpone Free Cone Day this year due to the increasing presence of the Coronavirus. However, they have stated that they hope to reschedule the global Free Cone Day event for later in the year.
We will be sure to update you as more information is released.
This is stupid on Ben and Jerry’s. Why don’t they just announce we don’t want any customers. Go figure
Seems kinda silly to me too
It says it’s postponed not cancelled. I don’t think it’s silly that they’re trying to keep their customers safe. Even those who are most susceptible to COVID-19 enjoy free ice cream.
The issue is that they think postponing will keep anyone safer. Employees should’ve already had training on safe food handling & keeping the workplace sanitary and the general public should be taking precautions as well. At some point common sense should prevail.
If they want to keep customers safe don’t open for business
Then how many people will be out of a job?
And out of a home bc they were not able to pay rent. 😥
Who is expected to pay the employees bills then ? If workplaces just up and close there are many employees at each company out of paychecks. I heard on the radio there were approx 700 cases of corona in the US. There are also 327 million ppl. I realize the scare is the fact that it seemingly pops out of nowhere, spreads quickly, and no known cure yet but to close businesses would be so detrimental. How would ppl survive. Most americans live pay check to paycheck. Could you imagine cutting one out ? Yikes !!!!!!
Giving out samples is an identical procedure to serving a cone or cup. What is the difference? Very very strange. Some kind of psychological trick of mentioning the virus to sound responsible? But really comes off as nonsensical.
Has everything to do with money as always. They don’t want anyone getting sick and blaming them for having a “ gathering of people “ or be seen as insensitive No business is doing it out of the goodness of their heart.
The difference is that, depending on location, their free cone days draw big crowds and long lines. A few people coming to get a cone every few minutes is one thing, but large crowds of people gathering all day in one location is another.
Yes exactly. Giving away something free will attract large crowds which many are trying to avoid. How dare they postpone their free ice cream day for the safety of others. Lol
And the madness continues. This overreaction is getting BEYOND ridiculous!
