Help Teachers Clear Their School Supply Lists – Join The Nationwide Movement!
What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.
School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!) and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2024-2025 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!
Did you know that many teachers pay for a majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies themselves.
Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!
You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!
Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!
Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!
Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:
- Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
- Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
- Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
- To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
- Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.
If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

Hello everyone,
This is my 7th year teaching in a Title I school. Over the years people had always encouraged me to post my Amazon wishlist on social media or ask parents for support. I always felt embarrassed doing so. Year after year, I invest in my classroom to ensure my kiddos have a welcoming classroom environment and all the tools necessary to be successful during the school year. Anything would help! In advance, I appreciate your support.

I teach 2nd grade in a high-poverty Title I school district in Georgia. We do have most of the basic supplies that we need, but I want to focus on improving fine motor skills with my students. In a world where technology is becoming more and more prevalent with each passing day, many students come to me lacking the fine motor skills they need to do simple tasks like coloring, writing, and cutting with scissors. I’ve included items to help remedy these issues as well as some other fun and functional stuff to enhance our learning in the classroom. Thank you for taking the time to consider my list.

As many of you know, I have been teaching for a very long time 15th year and as you can imagine many of my supplies are depleted or worn out. As a teacher, we do get some money to cover basic supplies, which is spent mostly on construction paper for beautiful projects, glue, crayons and scissors. I am reaching out to share a wishlist of classroom supplies that would enhance the learning experience for my little ones. These items will support our daily instructional activities and also foster a more engaging and inclusive environment for all learners. I want to make sure learning is fun and collaborative, helping to reinforce key concepts in an enjoyable way. Also-Being able to provide books from Scholastic for little ones who can’t otherwise afford them to build their own library is an essential step in fostering a lifelong love of reading and learning. If you would like purchase something from my wishlist See the Amazon Wish List (see comments for the link) If you would prefer to sponsor a child’s love of reading through Scholastic book donations 📚 See below. 👇🏼 Students would receive ONE BOOK each month at no cost to their families. Scholastic has books for $2 (slowly becoming $3 😔). If I select a $2 book, that is only $20 per child (for a FULL school year), You could mail me a check made out to Scholastic or Venmo me and each month a child will take home a new book. Venmo: @Melissa-LaGuardia-1 Thank you for your consideration, I am genuinely grateful for the many people in my life that help support the love of learning in my students.🥰 Kindergarten 2024 – Amazon Gift List – https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/7G4M8BICMLNS

I am entering my 20th year at Burlington High School (approx 875 students). I pride myself on creating a welcoming place for all to learn. Our school closed due to PCB contamination and we are currently operating out of a retro fitted Macy’s department store. I listed items for general classroom use, to spruce up my classroom environment, and to support the needs (hygiene and food) of my students. These are items not often covered by our building budget. Any support is much appreciated!
