What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

Hello! I am an Elementary Special Education Teacher working in a specialized behavior program. My teaching partner and I receive students from across our district with the most intense behaviors. This year, I am trying to set up a Sensory/Light Table center for my students with sensory needs.

I see that you would like to help out a teacher and you are amazing for that! I don’t think it’s going to happen but just thought to test my luck and share my wishlist with you. This will be my 4th year teaching but 2nd year teaching kindergarten babies. Let me share a little bit about my background with you. I am a mom to 4 kiddos ages 10, 7, 4, and 2. It’s so rewarding to be a mommy and a teacher but it can definitely be expensive when it comes to back to school shopping for both my roles. I also am attending college to get my Masters degree in professional education so that’s another expense I have to cover. If you do consider clearing my wishlist I would be very grateful. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/UIVWNBGO03QP?ref_=wl_share

Hi! 👋🏻 6th grade science teacher here. I’ve only been teaching for 2.5 years. Summer is flying by so quickly now that it’s July and it’s about that time to get back in my room. My wishlist focus this year is making my classroom more fun and having student treats. 🤩 Anything is greatly appreciated. 🫶🏻

I will be going into my 7th year, but taking on a new journey of being a self-contained 2nd grade teacher. I love my students as if they’re my own (I always call them my kids and my babies), and want to always upgrade and make my classroom the best space for them.

I am going into my 6th year and changing grades for the 4th time. I’m excited to teach 4th grade and need some new supplies and resources to get ready for another fun year! Thank you any help you are able to give!
