What is “Clear the List”? It’s a nationwide movement to support teachers by purchasing items for their school supply lists.

School will be back in session soon (some districts start in just a couple of weeks!), and teachers are already working hard to prepare their classrooms for the new 2025-2026 school year. This includes stocking up on school supplies for their students!

Did you know that many teachers pay for the majority of classroom supplies out of their own pockets? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap, and many school districts and families are struggling. This leaves many teachers to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.

Teachers always go the extra mile for their students, so let’s show them how much we appreciate them by giving back and helping to fulfill their supply lists!

You can help by donating items from teachers’ Amazon shopping lists!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list, and then share their lists publicly. Anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list, and after donating, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Even better, if you post your list on social media and tag Amazon with #clearthelist, you may find that your list is cleared BY Amazon! So cool!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu and name your list.
  • Hover over the three dots More menu on the right, and click Manage List to update your shipping address (this is important!) and other preferences like whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization, and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse for products on Amazon and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

If you’re a teacher, be sure to share your teacher list in the comments below so that readers can help clear the list! 🙌

Hello! This will be my fifth year teaching 4th grade. I am super excited for the new school year and to meet my new students! I have created this list to help with refreshing the classroom and engagement. My students get to buy a desk pet (animal eraser) at the “pet store” plus food and accessories. It’s tied into our classroom economy system where students earn class bucks for jobs.

I love to make learning and school fun, but that does cost $$. I’m so grateful for this movement and hope a few items from my list get purchased. It would save me! Thanks!!

Mrs. Benge is the kind of teacher who gives everything she has—her time, her energy, her heart, everything—to her students. She makes every child feel seen, loved, and capable. She shows up every single day for her students, no matter what’s going on in her own life.

Right now, though, she’s facing something no one should have to.
Her mom, Lisa, is currently in the ICU on life support after undergoing multiple major surgeries. The days have been long, heavy, and filled with uncertainty.

In less than 3 short weeks, she’ll have a classroom filled with kindergartners. She has so much to do but she needs to focus on her mom right now.
Let’s rally around her & lift some of the weight off her shoulders.

💛 She has an Amazon wishlist with classroom essentials—snacks for kids who come to school hungry, copy paper, laminating sheets, a stapler, and more. Nothing extravagant—just the little things that add up quickly when teachers are funding their own classrooms.

If you’re able to purchase even one item or share this post, you’ll be helping more than you know. Let’s come together and show Mrs. Benge the same love she so freely gives to others. Let’s make sure she knows—she’s not alone in this.

Amy, Thank you for posting. I ordered a few items. I wish Mrs. Benge the best and hope her list gets filled.

Taralee Hufstetler thank you so much! I honestly didn’t expect anything to come of this. Her mom passed yesterday morning so it couldn’t have come at a better time. She needed this now more than ever. Showing her that she isn’t alone and people care. Thank you thank you thank you!

    Hi there, kind stranger 💛
My name is Yesenia, and I’m a 6th grade teacher getting ready to welcome a new group of amazing students. Every year, I try to create a classroom that’s warm, engaging, and full of opportunity but sometimes, I need a little help.

If you are someone who believes in supporting teachers, or you just love making a difference in small but powerful ways, I’d be beyond grateful if you took a moment to check out my classroom wishlist. Every item helps create a better learning experience for my students, many of whom count on school as a safe and stable space.

As I get ready to begin my 16th year in the classroom, I’m filled with excitement for a new group of students and all the learning, laughter, and growth ahead. This year, I’ve decided (for the first time ever!) to create an Amazon Wishlist for my classroom. I’ve always tried to provide everything my students and classrooms need on my own, but I’m learning it’s more than okay to ask for help. If you feel led to support my students and our learning space, I would be incredibly grateful! Every little item, from pencils to rewards to decorations to make it a more inviting space, helps make our classroom a more engaging, welcoming place. Thank you for cheering me on, whether through donations, kind words, or simply sharing this post. Here’s to a joyful school year ahead! 🍎✨ Ms. Dutton https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1K4MYCL1Y4QMN?ref_=wl_share

This is amazing of you! Thank you for helping spread the word. I teach K-5 special education students in NC. I pull them from their classroom for small group lessons in reading, writing, math and I also provide social/emotional support. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/21GQ3EPPPCDNH?ref_=wl_share

First grade teacher here! This is my seventh year in a small rural school where I am the only teacher in this grade. Only have a few things left to be ready to have the “best year ever” 😄😄 My personal challenge is to see how many times my kids say “this is the best day ever!” During the year in my classroom. I believe that should be a feeling kids leave me and remember 💕

Gearing up for year 23 teaching JH Science and HS Forensics. If you are able to help with my wishlist, I would be forever grateful. Prayers and positive vibes for the coming school year are always appreciated.

On a side note, you will notice that there are numerous pet supplies on the list as well. This coming school year we will have 7 class pets. 3 guineas (Smores, Oreo and Shakepeare), a bearded dragon (Fred), a hedgehog (Penelope), and a ball python (Noodle)!
They are time consuming, but so worh it! The kids love them and so do I!

    Thank you!

Hello! Special education teacher from WI here, teaching middle to high school age students. I am a special education teacher at a Middle School in Wisconsin. I teach all levels of special education and all types of students since we are a full inclusion district, which means planning for tons of differentiation and supplies so all can be included at their entry levels. Thank you so much for any support!

This will be my 9th year teaching 5th grade in a rural Kansas school. Any help is much appreciated! Thank you so much myself & my kiddos!

  13. Jennifer Adkins

I’m Ms. Adkins! This will be my 4th year teaching. Previously I taught 2nd graders and this year I’m shifting down to teach 1st graders! I’ll have between 25-30 kids in my class and I’m so excited for the new year! I work in a tiny, little rural town where unfortunately families struggle financially. My goal with this wishlist is to be able to not only have the fun stuff to help enhance their learning, but to also have some supplies for families who can’t afford them. My students are my everything so whatever supplies aren’t bought off my list, will be purchased by me before the year starts in September! Anything, big or small, helps so much and is so incredibly appreciated! ❤️

Greetings! As I begin my 32nd year teaching Early Childhood Deaf Education. I face the challenge of limited resources and inadequate materials for my Deaf and Hard of Hearing students due to lack of funding from the state. To bridge this gap, I am seeking support to acquire age appropriate materials that would facilitate differentiated instruction, enhance student learning, and streamline classroom organization and preparation. If you feel led your generosity is greatly appreciated🤟
