For sure! The only thing that popped out at me as a good deal was the Ecotools sets; good stocking stuffers or exchange gifts. CVS used to have such great deals (all the time not just Black Friday); not anymore…
I agree no big bargains for cvs black Friday so disappointing
How can you buy 4 wet and wild gift sets when it says limit 2?
Maybe I’m missing something
SO sorry, S. That is the limit on the Extra Bucks Offer. Hope this helps! ❤️
My high the mighty have fallen! 🙁 I used to plan my Thanksgiving around getting to a CVS for the FANTASTIC deals. Can’t believe there’s not a single thing worth stopping for this year. Oh well, thanks for letting us know.
Make that HOW not HIGH 🙂
If you bought 3 Wet and Wild gift seta, @ $4.99, would $14.97 be close enough to $15, to still get the extra bucks back? I’m remembering some stores allow a purchase of almost enough to still count.
It seems that rule has changed for most locations. You could always double check on that when shopping in store to see if that might still work for you. 💞
I’ve posted this before, but the reason CVS no longer offers Black Friday freebies is people would purchase all the freebies, use the ECBs, then return all of the freebies. My CVS store manager showed me 2 carts full of returned freebies a few years ago. I was shocked by how greedy people can be.
Wow! Never realized this. It seems like it’d be such a hassle to return all that stuff plus I’d be embarrassed to do that seeing as you basically got it for FREE!! SMH
Too bad they couldn’t add “not returnable” stickers on the items!!
This happened at Rite Aid too. I was a manager and one year we had an offer for a $20 or $25 gift card to Toys R Us when you would buy formula or baby items. We had a lot of people buying the baby formula, getting the giftcard, and then the next day they would return the formula. Well, those items had to be immediately destroyed because it’s not safe to put them back on the shelf. So we would be throwing out SEVERAL large containers of formula because it was used to get a free giftcard. This happened with a lot of different deals.
I used to shop at CVS every week, then they stopped honoring the EB’s after the expiration date, so I longer buy anything that has the EB deal. I would take a chance that something would be on sale (without EB’s) so I could use them. I may shop there once every 3 months now. 25% off of anything is not even as cheap as buying it at a discount store.
The Honey Nut Cheerios are not part of the deal, only regular Cheerios. So sad.
I am surprised everyone is just now realizing the lack of deals from CVS. It has been going downhill since the pandemic started. The coupons they offer now are nothing special. I can get better deals without coupons going to Walmart or with coupons going to Meijer or Kroger. Believe my CVS used to be my go to store sometimes multiple times a week. Deals were excellent. That hasn’t been the case for years.
In general the Black Friday deals this year have all been MEH. I think that with so many people stealing and D.A. offices being unable to charge most shoplifters because of new state laws, the stores are just trying to recoup some of the money lost. I saw inferior cuts of meat with chains and locks attached to them. It’s in a large northeast city with lots of high tech companies and universities around, people have high good incomes. I was told by different store managers that it’s not locals but new comers to the city doing it. I mean come on, if you are a “guest” in a city, respect their rules and laws. While, on a shopping trip last week, I saw a pregnant lady with one kid pushing another on a stroller, walk out with a full cart without paying. The employees were just watching because they couldn’t do anything. It did not look like it was her first time either, because she was so calm talking on her phone. The most frustrating part to people watching was that most of the stuff was alcohol and tools, not one diaper, formula, book, toys any items for children. I guess, if she was stealing to feed her family, most people would understand but tools and alcoholic drinks? Sorry, no. They are just making things more expensive for the rest of us.
The thing that gets me is the store workers being nasty to THE PAYING CUSTOMERS! I guess we are the only ones around to take it out on?
Thank you
Now I know what store to skip 😞
You’re welcome, Marsha. 💞 We’re feeling a bit of the same way with these deals.
