What I love most about Hello Fresh is how the meals are easy enough to get my kids involved. My daughter just turned 11 and my middle child is 9 and they tag-teamed on making us dinners a few nights when our box arrived. The step-by-step instructions are perfect for them to cook the meals from start to finish with minimal supervision needed. This gave them a boost of confidence in the kitchen and allowed them to see what they were capable of. They also tried out meals they aren’t used to having (like risotto with mushrooms in it) and realized they actually like more than standard kid food 😉

Okay, to be honest, this from-scratch meal had a few more steps involved like grating fresh ginger and garlic, and rolling meatballs, but the extra work was well worth this restaurant-worthy dinner! Oh my goodness, I loved this flavorful meal and want to create my own version soon. The Jasmine rice was so delicious and the aromatic beef meatballs were incredible!

I have tried HelloFresh and I think it’s very good. I am not a fan of all the packaging, but I know it Has to be done to keep the food cold. They are supposedly recyclable, but not every area will recycle them. The customer service is very good. I was missing one ingredient once and I called them for help in coming up with a solution and they were super nice and helped me through how to make a sauce with what I had. Sorry for the run-on sentence talking to text lol.
