A home decor hack so nice, we’re sharing it twice!

A Happy Friday winner, Erika, submitted this handy hack last year, and we thought it was so good that we’re sharing it again! This festive DIY centerpiece is an affordable and creative way to decorate your holiday table. With prices on the rise, we’re happy to cut costs where we can and our wallets love this trick!

All you need is a recent purchase from Amazon and a trip to the dollar store for some contact paper and decorations (which you may or may not have already!). Keep reading to see how Erika put it all together and created a gorgeous Thanksgiving centerpiece!

Doorstep with Amazon boxes

Fall centerpiece with recycled Amazon box! I scored simulated wood contact paper at Dollar Tree, so I covered an Amazon box with the paper.

Cut my family’s last names in vinyl using the Cricut that I bought at JoAnn with discounts posted on Hip2Save in previous years. Filled the box with a recycled glass growler, some fall leaves that I bought for $0.99 at JoAnn, fabric pumpkin from Dollar Tree, and mini pumpkins from Walmart. Loved the results!

Such a great centerpiece, Erika! If you didn’t know, Amazon makes 90% of its boxes from recycled materials. So, this DIY centerpiece is an awesome way to take care of the environment. Just by looking at it, you would never know it’s a cardboard box!

If there is one thing we’re grateful for this year, it’s tips on how to save more money!

Take some inspiration from this if you’re planning on DIYing your Thanksgiving table! And since you’re DIYing, don’t miss out on our reversible holiday sign and pumpkin string art project.

Happy Thanksgiving, Hip2Savers! 🍂
