This Teacher GLOWS All Out for Her Students
This teacher made learning HIP!
Teacher and Hip2Save reader, Sarah, brought the creativity and excitement to her classroom by making learning fun for her students. She definitely deserves the teacher-of-the-year award!
I love being creative in my classroom. Recently, for my birthday I received black lights from Amazon (which I’d been wanting for a while). When you guys posted about the deal on the Glow in the Dark Connect 4 games, I went and bought a couple for my classroom. This past weekend, I set up my room for a Glow In The Dark day.
We did a ton of math activities in the dark (plus a brain break one with the Connect 4). I cut out my own decorations and strung them from the ceiling and all around the room. I had received a ton of extra neon paper from the previous teacher. It was perfect and saved a TON. I also picked up some cute neon items from the Dollar Tree.
What a fun learning environment!
Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your fun and frugal classroom idea with us!

Wow! What a fantastic idea! Thank you for sharing!
Our first grade team at my school has a bat cave day where they decorate their doors like the entry to a cave and let the kids work with glow bracelet, necklaces, use glue flashlights while working…so fun! I like the idea of the glow board game!
What an awesome teacher and a fun day for the kids!
Very creative! Way to make learning fun! 🙂
So cool, so fun! What a great teacher!!!
This is my daughter’s teacher!!! She is AMAZING! And her prize box is epic because she’s a deal hunter. 💚 I’m so thankful for her and teachers like her who give so much to our kids, here and there alike!
So much fun! I def want to try this with my class!
