Thank you. I won’t feel so upset about missing a deal!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      No deals to miss here!

    • Angie

      Well said! Me too.

  2. Megan

    Thank you, H2S.
I think that’s the right thing to do. 🙂

  3. Ashley

I just wanted to point out that some Walgreens are also offering drive-thru shopping. I don’t think you have to order ahead and it is only specific items (I did notice one item was tissue because I was trying to use my Puffs coupon). I haven’t tried it yet but is worth looking into if someone just needs to grab essentials but doesn’t want to have to go into the store. Thanks for all you do!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Thank you, Ashley!

  4. MrsA

Thank you for not encouraging people to go out during this time.

  5. Melissa

With the new CVS care pass program, some items ship for free and you can use your ECB to pay and the coupons on your app. You still can earn ECB too. I did this when I had the flu in December and I had some ECB and my monthly $10 carepass which was about to expire.

    • Nora-Lee

Thank you for the reminder! I have EB that expire this week, and I want to avoid hitting the stores

    • Donna Bielecki

I had no idea I could use ecb online. Im going to do this. I have a bunch that expire as well as carepass.

  6. jaz430

Thanks for all you do H2S!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      You are welcome, jaz430!

  7. Hblog

Thank you for this, it’s a good call! There will be time for couponing later!

  8. C

Kuddos to H2S for doing the right thing!

  9. Brenda

I appreciate all that you guys do. It keeps my day feeling somewhat normal checking hip2save. Thanks for all the positivity and ideas for spending time with family and home organization. Thank you so much for your team and this website.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Awww! We sure appreciate this comment!

  10. Bunny

Was wondering if Lina has all of her air fryer recipes all in one spot? Want to do a little experimenting this weekend.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

There’s quite a few in this post here.

      • Bunny

Awesome. Thanks so much Jennifer 🙂

  11. WestbergFive

Totally support this decision. These are crazy times.

  12. kayla

Did Walgreens and cvs close so you can’t go inside to shop?

    • Cheryl72

It’s called being responsible & not encouraging others to go out & possibly spread things to others. They are doing the right thing & I appreciate them, 1000%!

      • kayla

        Cheryl172

I was just asking. Don’t need to be rude!!!

        • Cheryl72

Nothing I said was rude or targeted toward anyone, just stating something💙

          • Snow

It sounded rude to me. Maybe you could have answered with a yes or no, then suggest avoid going in open stores if possible.

          • Mom

That was rude not needed to be

          • shopper

that was rude she was just asking a question and probably the question wasn’t for you I think it was for the circus owner NOT FOR THE CLOWN! so keep your stating for yourself

        • kkraus

          That’s right

      • English Teacher

Cheryl172: Since you evidently did not intend your tone in the way others and I interpreted, as a writing tutor, my recommendation would be to omit the introductory phrase “It’s called…”; this simple revision would prevent informative comments from inadvertently coming across as disparaging. (I am just trying to be helpful as well as stick up for Kayla, Cheryl, since I find the Hip2Save community to be very supportive– if instead you happen to view the recommendation as an unwelcome language lesson, kindly merely disregard it. )

        • Cheryl72

Thank you. I definitely did not mean any negative remarks to anyone. I didn’t realize until later that I accidentally hit “reply” to her post & it wasn’t in response to what she wrote, it was in response to the thread, saying that they “Hip2Save” are doing the right thing by not encouraging others to go into the stores. To those who took it wrong, I am sorry. Did not mean to offend or upset anyone. Take care & be safe.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

You can still go inside those stores.

  13. Loni

Thanks for doing the responsible thing, HTS! This RN appreciates any help you can give in keeping us all safe. #flattenthecurve

  14. Glammy

    Thank you so much!

  15. Tammy

    Good idea! Thank you!

  16. E

Thank you! Not encouraging people to go out is the right thing to do!

  17. Erin

Thanks to all of your past deals, I am well stocked and not panicking on where I will find the things I need. I have plenty of essentials on hand and don’t need to leave the house. I am running out of milk but we will survive. I am trying to avoid a grocery trip for a while.

    • Alicia

I agree! I have 2 large packs of toilet paper and 2 packs of paper towels, plus tons of nonperishables and cat stuff from previous deals they shared. If only they could post a deal on sanity, running a little low on that. 😂

  18. Lauren

Thank you! This is absolutely a responsible thing to do. I appreciate your deal-posting in normal times, and I appreciate your restraint now.

  19. Tina9222

Well I’ve only ran in to Cvs quickly if my EB were going to expire, but had decided to just cruise along take it easy and coupon when it’s safe again.Ill clean and work on projects that needed finishing like my taxes, I’m self employed so tomorrow is my last day and I’m giving myself and my clients a two or three week break… mandated by ME!!! Well stay safe everyone 🙏🏼

  20. Donna

Are you still going to show what coupons are going to be in the weekly inserts? Just curious for down the road. I’m not trying to be rude.

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Donna! For the time being, we are going to be pausing that post as well.

  21. Kayla

That makes me feel better now I dont worry about missing a deal because I won’t know about it 🙂

  22. zos

Totally Hip thing to do! Everyone stay safe!

  23. Melissa Rice

Thanks for the post. Usually I get tempted to go to CVS and Walgreens for weekly deals but this post just made me realize that I should not be making needless trips anymore.

  24. Rita

Great idea! Let’s all take a break from shopping to organize our spaces and re-connect. let’s slow the spread of this stupid this. This will help!

  25. Mel

Understandable, but disappointing. I’m craving some ‘normalcy’! Many items online at CVS & Walgreens, are out of stock or state ‘in store purchase only’. I still have to pick up prescriptions (my husband is on insulin and that cannot be delivered like his other medications). I went to get one of them Wednesday at the drive through. I was in line for over 10 minutes when I finally decided to pull around to park, went inside, grabbed a few items + the rx, paid and when I was pulling out, the same 3 cars were still in line!
I absolutely hate it, but I have been wearing a mask when I have to be out. I was side eying people last wk at Sam’s. And I seriously doubted my husband when he told me to order them off amazon the beginning of the month. Now, I am so thankful he persuaded me to get them.
It’s a strange time for sure right now. I hope this mess blows over sooner rather than later. I’m more worried about my oldest son. he’s a high school Sr and missing track meets, Prom, Sr Skip day picnic while they are out of school. And my sister’s friends mom (who is a teacher), is hearing they may extend the break til June. They were scheduled to resume school April 15.
Sorry for the long winded post!

    • Melanie

I feel ya! My son is a senior as well and it’s heartbreaking. They had one track meet before everything shut down and he had two state qualifying times. It was supposed to be prom tonight. They can’t get this time back and as momma’s, we can’t get it back to watch them either. I’m just praying everyone does all they can to flatten the curve and this can end as soon as possible.

    • RB

Mel, I thought it was helpful to hear how others are being impacted, in critical or permanently-disappointing ways that I hadn’t realized until reading your post as well as Melanie’s response. Being self-employed with my car in the shop and not running since early March (other than inconveniences due to finding the shelves cleared from panic buying after I walked to the local groceries), for me day-to-day mostly staying here at home has actually barely changed.

  26. muquee

I’m not seeing match ups for CVS online either. I have Extra Bucks that will expire this week and thought you will still do match ups that could be done on line. If I missed that post, sorry & please advise.

  27. Andrea

Why, when people are being laid off and unable to work would you stop posting deals so they can save money?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Hi, Andrea! We will continue to post money-saving deals. Right now, we are putting our focus on helping readers find deals online to help with social distancing as well.

    • Becky

Andrea, I apologize. I misread your comment. I thought you were criticizing Hip2Save. Please ignore my post. I wish there was a way to delete it. If any admin sees this, if you could delete my comments, that would be appreciated.

  28. K

As someone who works in a craft store that won’t close, thank you for this! It’s been busy and unfortunately sick people are coming in too. People aren’t necessarily heeding the advice to stay home, at least not in my experience

  29. gomezamelia14

Hello there, I was wondering if anyone new if cvs is going extend our extra bucks expiration dates. I have some that are expiring this week?

  30. gomezamelia14

Hello everyone, just wondering if anyone knows if cvs will be extending our extra bucks expiration dates.? I have some expiring tomorrow.

    • SueJo

I was wondering the same thing. Did you ever get an answer about this?

  31. Suzanne Bassyouni

Are you going to do the same for this week?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes, Thanks for asking, Suzanne. It will be the same for this week.

  32. Paulio

Thank you for doing this, I really appreciate it! 💕

  33. Joe

I have stayed away from CVS, since I don’t need any of their essentials and don’t feel the need to expose myself to others in the store. In the meantime, my ExtraBucks expired a few days ago. Is CVS doing anything about extending the expiration date for EBs?

  34. Nichele

When do you expect to resume matching up with Rite Aid, Walgreen’s and CVS deals? All are still open in my area but want to limit the times I go there. Would appreciate the match ups to help limit these trips. Thanks.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Nichele! Great question! Unfortunately we cannot answer that yet. It still appears that quarantine orders vary from state to state and most readers are still following stay at home orders. For this reason we will not likely be introducing full store matchups anytime in the immediate future.
We will continue to post all the best online deals and/or in store deals that allow for curbside pickup. Hopefully these deals are allowing you to stock up on essentials without needing to leave home!

    • pjane

I agree. Life goes on and people still needs goods.

  35. Brenda

I wish you would bring the matchups back.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Brenda! We are posting more in store deals now as well as the online deals. We’ll hopefully get back to the weekly match ups soon!

  36. mary

Many parts of our country are open – matchups would be nice – i think after 13 weeks we all can be responsible on deal shopping –

  37. Beth

Hi, will Rite Aid matchups ever return? I live by one now and can finally take advantage of the sales 🙂

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

We always keep an eye out for any great offers so we can share them for you from Rite Aid! We are still posting the CVS, Walgreens and Target store matchups each week.
