Walmart Corporate Coupon Policy
Head here to check out the Walmart Corporate Coupon Policy! I recommend printing the policy and keeping it with you every time you shop at Walmart. If any issues should arise, you’ll have the corporate policy on hand to show them.
As of September 2023, Walmart will no longer give overage to the remaining items in the transaction if the value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item. If the coupon value is over the purchase price of the item, the coupon amount will automatically be adjusted down.
There is a limit of one coupon per item, and a limit of 4 identical coupons per household, per day, however, there is no limit on the total number of coupons (of variety) that can be used in a transaction.
Walmart does accept BOGO coupons and internet print-at-home coupons! However all coupons must scan at the register and match Walmart’s master file, and employees cannot override a coupon.

Walmart Price Match Policy
In addition, familiarize yourself with the Walmart Online Price Match Policy. Walmart will price-match Walmart.com for identical items purchased in a Walmart store, according to these rules:
- The item must be identical, (i.e., size, model, quantity, brand, color)
- The item must be currently in stock and available to purchase on Walmart.com at the time the price match is requested.
- They have the right to limit quantities to one per customer, per item, per day (quantities are also limited in New Mexico only for the purchase for resale)
Walmart will not match according to these rules:
- Price match is not available in Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.
- They will not match competitor’s online or in-store prices.
- They will not match prices from other Walmart or Neighborhood Market stores.
- They will not match Walmart.com prices that are on special events (like clearance, Rollback, Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals, etc).
- They will not match prices from Walmart Marketplace Retailers or third-party Sellers
And, the Walmart Store Manager has the final decision on any price match.
