The membership becomes active after purchasing the Groupon deal and you receive your email confirmation, which will have the subject “Thank You for your New Costco Membership.” I found these additional details in the offer and under the “FAQ” on the email as well as being able to shop Costco right away – “After purchase you’ll receive an email from Costco confirming your membership details. To pick up your membership card, stop by the membership counter at any Costco location and bring a copy of that email with your photo ID. Incentives will be emailed within 1 week after sign-up. Please allow up to two hours to receive your confirmation email from Costco. You must have either your Costco or Groupon confirmation email to receive your physical membership card at a Costco location. Once you purchase the Groupon deal, your membership will become active with the email confirmation. 💕 Here’s what I spotted in the FAQ on this – “Your Costco Gold Star Membership has been activated and is ready to use online! Incentives will be automatically delivered by Costco via email within one week of this confirmation. You will receive an email with a confirmation from Costco with the subject line: “Thank You for your New Costco Membership.” Please allow up to two hours to receive your confirmation email.
