I was cancelling my Live subscription(we were seeing which Live service we liked better) and the agent told me if I wanted to get the deal, then I could create a new account with a new email and credit card. They tell people to do this. I didn’t do it, because we decided to go with no commercials, but they openly tell people to do it.
This is great!!! Made me look at what I had to realize I was paying disneyplus twice (through my cable service add-on & Hulu bundle … which is set to go up again at the end of this month). I was able to cancel it all saving me literally $35 a month & using a new email sign up as a new customer and only pay $4.98 a month !!!

We just left cable for the same reason (plus they didn’t honor their commitments). We tried Hulu and Youtube TV and found that we liked Youtube TV better. We weren’t able to skip commercials on recordings. Plus Youtube will record every episode that airs. We did like the extra channels on Hulu and the somewhat better organization, but you can’t have it all. Hulu and Youtube just had like $10 off a month for 3 months, but that’s about all I’ve seen.

Yay! I literally just cancelled my subscription from last year as it was auto renewing at normal price in a day (I took advantage of this last year). I figured I was out of luck! I’m going to use my husbands card this year, and now I know I can go back to my account next year, or just cancel his at least a month before it renews. Yay!!

Oh, great. I’ve just started rewatching “Speechless” using Kodi and it has not been a great experience, because of buffering. Roku search shows that Hulu is the only service that offers it with subscription, instead of $1.99 per episode. No-brainer!

You might try looking into an HD Antenna for live tv. I got my daughter a Mohu Leaf one. They have different ranges but she lives in a big city so the cheap basic one works for her. She gets all the local network channels like ABC, NBC, CBS etc with it.

how did you do that? when I go online to cancel it asks how long I would like to pause my subscription. did you pause it and they offered you something or did you just hit the cancel button and it offered you something to stay? I’m nervous to hit the cancel button because I don’t want to lose our log in stuff if it doesn’t offer me a savings

when it asks you to pause, just ignore that part and look to the bottom right corner of the screen, there is an option to continue with the cancelation, keep doing that and it will offer you a deal to not cancel.
I wanted to try that too, and it asked about pausing it. So rhinking ut might offer me something when I hit cancel, it unfortunately didn’t offer me any deal to stay. It just went straight to canceling my subscription, and said that we have cancelled your subscription.

As soon as I signed up for this $1.99 deal and entered my gift card for payment it changed the account to $7.99 a month. When I called I was told see the terms…. I could cancel my account but the gift card money would be lost. VERY frustrating! I could have added a gift card after the first payment to get the $1.99 deal but the smallest card is $25.00. Unless you add on its no saving to use a gift card if you cancel every year there is no refund on unused amount. I hope this helps everyone from getting stuck paying 7.99 or forfeiting a gift card, ugh!

I bought the Hulu subscription previously for 0.99 and Disney+ for $2.99. I would wait for the 0.99 Hulu price.
I don’t think you’re going to see the 0.99 price this year. I’ve been getting this Black Friday deal since 2018. It was $0.99 that year, then $1.99 in 2019 and $1.99 again in 2020. I was pleasantly surprised when they backed it back down to $0.99 last year, but I’m fairly certain you won’t see a price lower than this until next Black Friday.

So the disney deal is good for a year too? Also, after the year can i cancel the hulu part but continue the disney for the regular monthly price or since its a package thing if i cancel hulu the disney goes away?
