    I have to redeem 21 🙁

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for letting us know the number of offers you need to redeem!

  2. Diane

I won’t be participating this year. They want me to redeem 16 offers. Too many hoops to jump through.

    • Ashley

      Mine is 32. 😅

      • Erica

        Mine is 32 as well.

        • Julie

          Me too 32

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO sorry, Diane. 💖 Thanks for the honest comment!

      • Alice Banner

What are the items you have to buy to get the turkey. Please email me at bellbanner@live.com

        • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Alice! It seems the offers can vary by account. We found 16 offers that needed to be completed for the Turkey Bonus. Hope that helps! ❤️

    • Amy

I’m so disappointed they’re doing it this way this year. Doubt I’ll get 16 redeemed in time. I’d have to buy things specifically just to unlock this

    • Heidi

      I agree!!

    • Judy

      Yes me too

      • Judy Trac

        Too much work to jump

    • Tara

Mine is 16, just for the turkey. I can maybe do it with things I might already buy. It seems to be just a little better than the regular bonuses. Bonuses stack.

    • Heather

Yeah…the majority of the offers lately are items not available in my area or things we don’t want/need…I rarely use it now

  3. Holly

18 to unlock for me. Doesn’t seem like I’m getting the free turkey 🦃

  4. Amber

I’m usually a fan of this promotion but I have a hard time even redeeming a couple of rebates in a 3 month period. Cashing out and giving it up.

  5. Laurie

    32 for me

  6. hellfiregainz

Oh how sad. 32 offers for me as well. Cheaper to just buy your Thanksgiving at that point. Oh Ibotta…..

  7. Sam

So is it redeem any 16 offers via ibotta coupons or specific items?

    • Liza (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there, Sam! My offer just says to redeem 16 offers by 11/18, so I don’t believe they have to be specific items. Hope that helps!

      • Connie

I was curious which offers to redeem as well. I thought there would be specific items. I wasn’t sure how to move forward with this. I have 16 items to unlock and for some reason I have unlocked 2 already that I wasn’t even aware of. Any suggestions which items to unlock? Thanks in advance

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Connie! I shared some helpful info on the offers in my last reply to a comment on this post, if you’d like to check that one out! Hope it’s helpful! 🤞💕

        • Theresa

So usually your offers apply to it as a whole. For us we had to do 32 this year within the time period and it was any 32, then our turkey opened, and then the side items. The $14 of the turkey is for whole turkey. Or it is free 3lb turkey breast. The side items unlock happened over time as well. Those were cranberry sauce, stove top stuffing(for Walmart not my other local grocer), gravy mix( McCormick), jiffy cornbread, Bob Evans mashed potatoes( Or sausage) was $4off.

  8. Csandst1

After they discontinued allowing combination of rebate and coupon, I deleted the app.

    • Justina

oh, but that’s not just for ALL rebates, they originally thought that it was, but then ibotta released another statement, some still allow coupons to be used with them, for me it’s mainly walmart items, mainly proctor&gamble items

    • Lana

That was my first thought as well because I was angry but I didn’t and have continued to do well with the app. I believe they have upped the value of some of the offers.

  9. Kaylan

This is a hard pass for me this year. I’d spend so much trying to get all the offers completed that in total, I’d spend more overall!😳

  10. Trineke

Ugh. 32 to purchase for me. Oh well, it’s not even a full turkey this year, just a 3 pound turkey breast. Not enough for my family.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Darn! Thanks for letting us know what offers you’re seeing in your account, Trineke! 🦃❤️

    • Theresa

It is a whole turkey $14back or free 3lb breast

  11. Rn404

These past few yrs they have made it so hard to get in on this deal. I miss the days where you could buy the specific items, redeem amd get your money. Last year you had to refer someone…easy pass

    • Theresa

Maybe the referral last year was your area because that was not case for us. You just did the offers and got the items.

  12. firestormz

I think I’ll pass. They’re making it too hard to get the get the deal this year

  13. Tammie

I haven’t used Ibotta in a few years. Says 16 unique items. Not that I’m doing it, but where do I find out which items?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Tammie! I also have the 16 items redemption on my ibotta app. From reading through, it looks like you’ll have to redeem any 16 offers through ibotta, and then it will “unlock” the free Butterball Turkey offer to redeem that offer. Beyond that, you can also unlock your sides bonus for a chance to redeem 3 more side offers. Hope this is helpful! ❤️

  14. Alan Stiner

I have never seen a 3[b Turkey in a grocery store

    • frecklelily

Butterball sells a 3lb boneless turkey. I buy them often. They now cost around $13.50 (used to be $10). That is what Ibotta is offering at Walmart.

  15. 3bettins

Refer your spouse or other family member, you get the $10 referral and they get the free dinner. My son doesn’t even know he’s buying dinner this year, lol.

  16. Ardis514

I think they are making it too hard this time. I will pass.

  17. Criselle

Does online purchases count to the 16 offers? They tend to count towards the other bonuses.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Criselle! It looks like this is available for purchases made in-store and when you link your online grocery account. Here’s the full terms and conditions of this offer, if you’d like to check that out! Hoping this is helpful! 💕

  18. Sara

So you have to spend money while not getting all of it back to then be able to spend money to then get all of that second round of money back?

That’s the problem I have with subtracting rebates/rewards from an item’s price. You still have to pay for it first. Rebates/rewards aren’t used to pay for those items. They are used to pay for other items on a future purchase.

I have redeemed rebate offers, but only if I was already happy with the price I had to pay upfront. I rarely buy any of the items Ibotta has offers on. About 85-90% of my balance came from small value any item offers. I signed up in August 2016. My balance is $174.93. I lost $0.02 from a return. I have never cashed out.

On a side note, items aren’t free if you have to pay for shipping.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, Sara. I personally also like to just redeem rebates as an after thought after I’ve grocery shopped, and it is mostly on the “any item” products, like you mentioned. Hoping there might be more of those as the holiday season gets closer! 🤞❤️

      • Sara

Another problem I have with Ibotta is that sometimes it won’t recognize an item as being in that category. There was an any item applesauce rebate a few years ago. They used a picture of an applesauce pouch. I submitted applesauce pouches. The app said it wasn’t applesauce. I sent a message to Ibotta with pictures. I got a long winded ‘Sorry, but we aren’t going to do anything about it’ response.

I bought a wedge of Roquefort cheese from Albertsons. l last month. The app said it wasn’t cheese.

Neither rebate specified a brand, size, or type.

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Oh darn! That does sound frustrating. Thanks for sharing more about your experience with the app!

    • Olivia

If I were you I wouldn’t let that money linger around seeing as how companies are going bust left and right!

      • Sara

I would redeem in a heartbeat if they offered American Airlines, Marriott, Hilton, Carnival Cruise Line, or Disney.

        • Amber

I would send it to PayPal and then back to my bank from PayPal or just buy other cards I’d want with PayPal itself.

    • Heather

I joined in December 2012 thanks to hip2save. I’ve used it on and off. It says my lifetime savings in those 10 years is $480

  19. Tami B

Just when we needed Ibotta most….this would have been the year for them to look like hero’s, but no. I too would have to redeem 16 offers before the 18th.

  20. Tricia

Geeze. I need to redeem 16 offers first. All these years they gave it to everyone and now with this inflation they decide to make it harder :/

    • Monique

I’ve been done with ibotta since the notice of not being able to redeem coupons with an item I know some have said it’s not absolute but I’m not hassling with it and this just seems like a joke 16-32 offers 16 offers to get a $13 turkey yeah I’m good

      • Tricia

I agree. Not worth it anymore.

      • Tara

I have been able to use Target circle offers with it, and other rebate apps as well. I mainly use it for Bogos and free items

  21. Spike

Agreed that it is a pain and very expensive to do all the rebates to get the free turkey. I guess we are lucky that they do anything at all to get free stuff because it is usually just .25 back or so. I WON’T be participating, but that does not make me any less thankful that they do things all year to get money back and that Jessica (THE WONDERFUL SIDEKICK) takes the time to inform us of all the rebates and money we can get back the rest of the year!! THANKS JESSICA!!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welcome, Spike! 🤗❤️ Thanks so much for your sweet comment – it sure made my day! 🥰

  22. Kristi

Mine says I have to redeem 16 specific offers but it doesn’t tell me what offers will unlock the free Turkey so I have no idea which offers to even attempt to redeem. This is confusing.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Kristi! In my account, it says “Redeem 16 unique offers” which seems as though it can be any 16 offers in the Ibotta app, in order to “unlock” the turkey offer.” I also found this information in the Terms and Conditions for this offer – “To participate as an existing Saver, you must: i) open the Ibotta App, website, or browser extension; ii) redeem enough offers to unlock the Butterball Turkey Offer – offer requirements may be found in the Turkey bonus details; (iii) add the Butterball Turkey Offer to your list and purchase the Butterball Turkey – see Offer details for additional terms; and (iv) scan your receipt that shows the Butterball Turkey if purchased in-store or link your online grocery account. Upon completing the Butterball Turkey Offer, you will get access to the Sides bonus (the “Sides Offers”). You may then: i) redeem enough offers to unlock the Sides Offers – offer requirements may be found in the Sides bonus details; ii) purchase the following products: Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, McCormick Gravy Mix, and Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce – see Offer details for specific sizes, flavors, and additional terms (together with the Butterball Turkey Offer, the “Qualifying Products”); and iii) scan your receipt(s) that shows the Qualifying Products if purchased in-store or link your online grocery account.” Hope this is helpful! 💕

      • Debra A Ricci

What do you need to buy for the side items? I just did my 16 for the turkey.

        • Alli (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Debra, based on reading the Terms and Conditions, it looks like you’ll need to buy Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, McCormick Gravy Mix, and Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce to complete the sides offer. The offer should also specify what sizes you’ll need to purchase to complete the offer — hope this helps!

  23. priscilla

Certainly making it difficult. The items should be listed somewhere and the store for that item indicated. Was going to try this year but “time is money” and not sure I have the time for their puzzle.

  24. April

Not happy…I purchased my 16 items…now turkey bonus is GONE. I emailed ibotta. Anyone else have this happen?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

SO sorry to hear that, April. Hoping they get back to you soon! ❤️

  25. Sue

Pretty much over Ibotta. I feel this is a really crappy move at a time when people are struggling so badly with daily food needs and we all know holidays are more expensive. Plus your oldest customers are being told they have to purchase up to 32 items in a couple of weeks for a 14.00 turkey and maybe 10.00 worth of side items. No thanks, not my idea of a good use if my time or resources.

  26. Sarah

I did this but my money is stuck. I can’t type where it says enter bank account or get a gift card. Any suggestions? I tried customer service but they have not answered.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

So sorry for the issues, Sarah! It sounds like it may be an issue with the app. You might try logging out and back in, to see if that fixes it. Hoping you hear back soon from customer service! 🤞
