According to the website it is April 30-May 6. Would hate for anyone to miss if they will out running errands tomorrow.

    • Roman

Only teachers can get this freebie, I suppose?

      • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes, this offer is for teachers only. They don’t specify more than that so if you are an administrator, you can always call your local store and ask if you qualify. Good luck!

        HENCE “TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK”…… (smile)

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hey there, 5pink1blue! April 30th is when the Classroom Rewards at 20% starts. Further down the page, it shows where teachers can score the free gift when stopping by between May 1st through May 7th.

Do teachers needs to show them some kind of proof?

    • Lisa

Yes, they asked for my school ID badge, my drivers license, my work email and phone number, my school name and the school address.

  3. Chickie00

Do teachers need to show anything? Or can home school teachers get in on this too?

  4. Heather

Yes, I’m curious if homeschool teachers can do this too.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hey Heather, I am not seeing anything in the details about homeschool parents. I know they used to include us when they did the teacher events at the beginning of the school year so hopefully, they will on this too! I suggest calling your local store before heading up there.

  5. Kaitlin Wilson

So I would recommend calling before you go. I called my local store and they said they hadn’t gotten them to due to shipping.

  6. Sally

Dry erase markers would be useful in this package

    • Chelsea

There was dry erase markers in mine but it was 2. There wasn’t stickers as listed above, there was a single glue stick, and the 25 thank you cards was a coupon to redeem them. I didn’t know until after I was home so that was a waste.

  7. Ms.o

My Staples said they do not have them

  8. Jessica

Be sure you call your local Staples before heading there. I just stopped in and mine was unaware of any promotion and instead offered 10% off my purchase. I don’t want anyone to make the trip for a freebie that they might not score.

  9. Alison Wood

Does anyone know what kind of proof you have to show, I’m a paraprofessional and was wondering if I was able to get one.

    • Jessica

Hey Alison! Make sure you call your local Staples first to verify they have them. I would assume a school ID would work – that’s what I was planning on showing them! Paras are teachers too! 💕

    • Lisa

My store asked for school ID, drivers license, work email, work phone, and work address.

  10. Orr

The one in Macon. Georgia told me that they do it when school starts.

I stopped in at my local Staples this morning. The two cashiers said they thought they may be in a box in the back room. They honestly did not have a wealth of information regarding this promotion 🙂 My husband has been an educator for 25 years. I home school my two youngest and work for a university on a grant as well. They went and found the box,, unpacked it, and asked me for an ID or email address and I was on my way 🙂 These little boxes have quite a few nice items in them. I will use mine for homeschooling and work as well. My husband is taking his to the classroom. According to one of the cashiers there is a teacher application online to submit and merge with your Staples rewards card that will activate educator discounts as well.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing what all they asked for, Mama6!

    • Desiree Torres

      What was included?

      • Mama6

It included 2 black fine point Sharpies, 2 yellow fine point Sharpie highlighter pens, 2 black ink Paper Mate fine point felt pens, 2 Pink Pearl erasers, 2 black dry erase pens, 1 large Elmers Glue, 1 Elmers Glue Stic, and 6 Paper Mate wooden Mirado school pencils. I was headed to my local Target which is in the same parking lot so this was absolutely worth it to stop in and pick this up this morning 🙂

        • Desiree Torres

          Thank you, Mama6!!!

  12. DIANA ALDERETTE

Only Teachers that live in the city are able to take advantage of this deal. Those of us who live in rural areas more than 200 miles away miss out, not really a Teacher Appreciation for all.

  13. Laura

At my local store saw the boxes on a table and then asked cashier if homeschool teachers could have a box. Cashier called someone on the phone and I was told could have one and left with a box. I did ask about classroom teachers and they would show school badge. So, it seems like stores are all handling it differently.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing that, Laura! Good to know how it worked at your location!

  14. Elizabeth Martinez

    Can paraprofessionals qualify too?

    • Alli (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there Elizabeth — I’m not seeing any details about paraprofessionals online, but you may want to call your local store and ask!

      • Elizabeth Martinez

        Lol…yes!! We teachers kinda!!! Lol

  15. Michelle

Is this for Canadian teachers as well?

    • Alli (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Michelle, it doesn’t look like there are any details about location. You could definitely call your store and ask if they are participating! Hopefully it’s a yes 🤞
