new year bucket list

A New Year is right around the corner! 🎉

Who said you were only allowed one resolution? This New Year bucket list is the perfect place to organize all the goals you have for 2023. There were some life lessons I’ll be taking away from 2022. However, I’m always looking forward to the new year — who’s with me! 🙋‍♀️

2023 bucket list

Let’s get excited about the opportunity for a fresh start!

I’ll be using this time not just to think about the things we’ve missed out on over the year, but also about how we can do better and use our valuable time with more intention!

Starting a brand new year is always a nice time to reset and reflect on the past year’s accomplishments and set some new goals for the upcoming year. Plus, the act of writing down your goals is a visual exercise that’s proven to be strongly correlated with success!

Here’s a fun printable I’ve designed to get you and your family thinking about the future by writing down hopes and wishes for the new year! 🎉 My Hip sidekick Emily has already filled hers out this year and shared her pictures with me! 🙌

Hip tips for using your printable New Year’s Bucket List:

  • Simply print and fill in your bucket list for the new year. You could complete this list individually or work together to create a family bucket list!
  • Consider displaying your bucket list in a frame or hanging it in a spot where you can see it throughout the year. Placing a copy in your planner or journal would be a great idea as well!

This is such a fun New Year’s writing activity to print and fill out with the kids!

It’s cute to see what they are thinking about for the new year. It’s also a great opportunity to focus on topics like what to read, cook, and ways to volunteer in the coming year.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of lofty new year’s resolutions; however, writing down positive, short, and long-term goals is something I’ve always found to be helpful. Plus, this is a fun way to do that!

Thank you for doing this every year! I have been printing and filling these out with my now 12 and 10 year old boys for 4 years. I set a monthly reminder to check our progress and to keep me motivated for anything that needs scheduled or planned in advance. We (me a little more than my kids) really look forward to doing these every December! It’s so much fun to share together as well as to look back and see what we’ve wanted and been able to doπŸ₯°

You’re SO very welcome! Thank YOU for the sweet feedback and for stopping by each year! Glad this has become a fun family tradition that you can enjoy together! πŸ’–πŸŽ„πŸ₯°

Thank you for this inspiring idea. You all offer so many creative and helpful tips, recipes, life hacks etc. and I am forever grateful. A while back, you ran a post about limiting Christmas gift giving to four items and I meant to save the idea. Is there any way you might re-run that or direct me where to find it? I’m going to propose a similar idea come the new year and will use it as a template for my family. Thank you. Have a wonderful, safe and fun holiday time.
