Say hello to the Master Culinary Multipurpose 5-blade Herb Scissors – JUST $10.99!
I’m kind of a sucker for fun kitchen gadgets, so I have tried a lot of them over the years. Many of my purchases haven’t lived up to the hype, but these herb scissors did not disappoint and they’re one of my all-time favorite kitchen gadgets!
These scissors are sturdy, well-made, dishwasher safe, and even make a great hostess gift for anyone who enjoys easier cooking. Every person I’ve gifted a pair of these scissors to has raved about them over and over!
I’m a total klutz with a knife, so any kind of cutting or chopping really slows me down. I love that I can quickly cut through a bunch of fresh herbs with these stainless steel scissors and the multiblade configuration makes it all happen so quickly. Pair them with this over-the-sink strainer, and you’ve got a match made in heaven.
More importantly, they’re so much safer to use as opposed to a knife and they come with a small cleaning brush so you can get every last piece of the herb into your recipes. Unfortunately, we lost ours, but it did work great when we had it!
I’ve used them on parsley, dill, basil, green onions – pretty much any fresh herb or leafy vegetable. My kids love using these scissors too so they can help me in the kitchen. I love that these allow a safe and effective way for my kiddos to help in the kitchen – it’s a total family affair and I love it!
They’re versatile, too!
The kids and I have even used them for paper crafts! As an idea, you can make some gorgeous arts & crafts and shred paper in the office.
Still on the fence? See what reviewers on Amazon are saying about these herb scissors:
“I used to spend way too much time finely chopping several cups worth of green onions with a chef’s knife and cutting board. I consider myself pretty decent with a knife but it was still very time consuming and quite a chore. This is a great time-saver if you need to chop lots of green onions, chives, or other leafy herbs – and you get great uniform results.” – Wanda ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“When I originally saw these I thought they were a ridiculous waste of kitchen space… blah blah blah. Well, let me tell you how much time it saves us! I make smoothies every single morning and now I just cut the kale and spinach with these and it blends so much easier! It’s also easier to chop cilantro and other spices for salsa.
The little plastic cleaner piece is a must because the spices can get stuck in the blades, so don’t lose it. I love these!” – Dawn ⭐⭐⭐⭐
These are the 10 best-selling small appliances on Amazon right now.
They should sell the little cleaning out piece as I lost mine and now I don’t use the scissors bc they are soo hard to clean with out it!!!
FYI There are mini bottle brushes for sale on Amazon for around 3.99 that would help clean this type of scissor. Prices could even be lower, I didn’t really search.
I LOVE these! They make cutting herbs so quick and easy. I have had mine for years and they didn’t come with the nifty cleaning tool. However, I have never had a problem cleaning them with just running them under water after using them then tossing them in the dishwasher. I would say they are one of my favorite kitchen gadgets.
Agree totally. I didn’t get the cleaning tool either but no big deal
How cool! Thanks for the helpful feedback, BB! SO glad to hear you have been loving yours!
This is another kitchen gadget that pretty much sits in my drawer. It works fine–it’s just way faster to use a knife and cutting board if you need more than just a garnish. It cuts chives very nicely but tends to pulverize green onions. Walmart had them on clearance for about $4 recently.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, Erin! Great find! We’ll have to keep an eye out for that price in our stores!
I have had this for a few years and it is phenomenal and saves so much time. Love cutting up fresh parsley and cilantro and sometimes I even can dice up some small celery stalks. Amazing tool!
Awesome! Good to know what a time saver it has been! Thanks so much for commenting!
I love these. No cleaning tool needed, just run them under hot water when you finish using them and toss them in the dishwasher. I use them for all kinds of herbs (cilantro, basil, chives, sage, parsley, etc.) and green onions and they always cut everything perfectly and literally in seconds.
I’m in the minority here, I bought a pair of these a few years ago and threw them out. Too clunky and hard to clean. My kitchen shears do a fine job on herbs.
I love using these scissors to cut up cooked chicken breast! When a recipe calls for shredded chicken or the meat from a rotisserie chicken, I just boil up my own chicken breast and these scissors make shredding a breeze!
I used to have a pair similar to this but lost or misplaced it somehow. I think it’s time for a new pair! Very useful tool and I would use a bottle brush to clean it very easily.
