Lina can confirm the snow-cone-ready attachment is super versatile and fun to use!
“Capture tropical vacation vibes at home by pairing the shaved ice with snow cone syrup, boozy adult drinks, or even iced coffee! My kids were so excited to try this and it was honestly such a fun family activity to create our own frozen treats with syrup and fruit toppings!
I highly recommend grabbing one to enjoy. If you ever had the iconic Snoopy Snow Cone Maker in the 80s, this is the new improved adult version! In fact, our daughter had a snow cone maker on her birthday list and I am so glad we decided on this attachment rather than buying a separate appliance!
And as a tip, if you need a recommendation for yummy syrups, we really enjoyed this Lucy’s tropical flavor pack that I found on Amazon. It wasn’t overly sweet or fake tasting. The pineapple and watermelon flavors are delicious! “😋
How difficult is the KitchenAid shave ice attachment to use?
It’s fairly simple! The main housing easily attaches to the hub of your mixer. There are two blades to choose from: one for finely shaved ice and one for coarsely shaved ice. It’s easy to change them out. It will also come with eight molds to prepare the frozen ice pucks ahead of time.
The detachable sleeves and components are dishwasher-safe, too. 🙌
Use the attachment in just three easy steps – FREEZE, SHAVE, & CREATE!
Just one of these pucks will create a pint of shaved ice! You can fill them and freeze water, juice, or even coffee! Just remember to freeze the ice ahead of time.
Hip Tip: Consider freezing the pucks and then placing them in a Ziploc gallon bag. Then use the molds to freeze more until you have a whole bag of the frozen pucks ready to go stored in the freezer!
Shaving the ice is the most fun part! You’ll turn on the mixer and it will start shaving fluffy ice right away. Hold a cup or container underneath and rotate it.
Then add your favorite sweet snow cone syrups, juice, booze, or coffee drinks. Plus you can top it with fresh fruit or any desired toppings, and enjoy!
Does anyone have one of these? If so, I would love to know if this ice is chunky or truly shaved?
Hey, I just purchased this a few weeks ago. The shaved ice machine has two blades one for fine ice and one for chunky ice. We love ours!
Yep! That’s so awesome. Glad to hear you are loving it also.
Fine ice that’s kind of like fluffy snow?
Yes exactly
You can make your own syrup very easily. I use to have snow cone stands. Make simple syrup 1cup auger to 1cup boiling water. Let cool then add any fav you want cheap to make. Get flavoring from the groc store. It stores nicely for quite a while. However after usage clean outside of containers so you don’t attract ants.
I bought this last time it was posted and it is honestly the best investment ever! Living in South Texas, we often go to a sno cone stand and spend $40 easily on 4 sno cones. THIS PAID FOR ITSELF! We’ve made sno cones each week and we love the ice! It’s like a fluffy snow. I honestly don’t know why I waited so long to purchase.
So excited! I tried to look for this attachment all last summer, everywhere I went they were sold out. Thank you guys for the deal!
Yay! That’s exciting! Enjoy Denise!
