Make Your own Copycat Raising Cane’s Sauce at Home! (Plus, These Frozen Tenders Rock!)
Suppose your family is obsessed with Raising Cane’s like mine. Here’s how to easily make DIY Raising Cane’s sauce and chicken tenders!
We have Raising Cane’s at home!
You’ll be saying this when your kids ask for it constantly like mine. We are huge Raising Cane’s fans, but creating a similar stand-in at home is convenient and less expensive.
Today, I’m sharing how we make a similar version of their delicious chicken dipping sauce. I’ll also share our favorite frozen chicken tenders to pair with this sauce, or you can of course, make your own homemade.
What is in Raising Cane’s Sauce?
It’s their signature mayonnaise-based chicken dipping sauce with ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings like garlic powder and freshly cracked black pepper. Grab these common pantry staples and let’s go!
The result is a flavorful chicken dipping sauce that is irresistible. We also love dipping the french fries in it. I love that this makes a larger batch and is enough for the whole family!
My advice is to grab a bag of these chicken tenders!
My teenagers are so obsessed with Great Value Famous Chicken Tenders from Walmart. They are raw breaded tenders that can be deep fried, air-fried, or cooked in the oven. The taste and texture are very similar to a restaurant and stand out in flavor from other frozen options. If you haven’t tried them yet, be sure to add them to your next Walmart Plus order!
At just $12-$13 for 3 pounds, this is a great value compared to buying fast food. My tip is to add a little salt and pepper to them after cooking so they have a Raising Cane’s chicken vibe.

Extra tips for making this DIY Raising Cane’s sauce and tenders:
- This sauce stores in the fridge well. It actually gets better tasting over time. Keep it in a covered container for up to 14 days.
- I spray a little cooking oil with my glass oil mister before cooking the chicken tenders in the air fryer and it turns out so crispy.
- You’ll need a meat thermometer to be sure these tenders get cooked to 165 degrees.
- Make it a complete meal similar to the fast food chain by adding Texas toast, crinkle-cut french fries, and coleslaw as side dishes!
This idea is a winner at our house!
My teenagers will make this recipe on their own now using these tenders for more of a quick DIY approach to Raising Cane’s! I love using the air fryer, especially in the summer so the kitchen doesn’t heat up.
They also love Chick-fil-A sauce and make that sauce too. It has more of a sweeter honey mustard flavor. to make it, combine 1/4 cup mayo, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1 tablespoon BBQ sauce, and 1 tablespoon honey for copycat Chick-fil-A sauce.
Make spicy and sweet honey sriracha chicken tenders with this easy recipe!
No Cane’s sauce in Baton Rouge has hot sauce in it. I have a very low spicy heat tolerance. It would burn my mouth. It might have garlic in it, but it doesn’t taste like it. It mostly tastes of mayo, ketchup, pickle juice/vinegar, and something I can’t identify.
Thanks for letting us know about your location. Hoping you enjoy this recipe, if you give it a try as an yummy alternative to the Raising Cane’s option. 🤞❤️
What brand or kind of barbecue sauce would be best to use?
Oh sorry … I’m asking about the chick-fil-a sauce recipe.
I would go with what you like, we happen to have Stubb’s BBQ sauce on hand. Thanks for the question and enjoy!
