2. Consolidate prepaid cards onto one Amazon gift card.

assortment of cash back and promotional gift cards

If you have an assortment of prepaid cards in varying amounts, use them to reload your Amazon Gift Card, and combine the varying values to spend all in one place.

To do this, head over to Amazon’s gift card reload page and type in whatever remaining balance you have left on your card in the “$ Other” field. Add the card to your cart and head to checkout, then add that prepaid card as your form of payment. Once the transaction is complete, you can delete that card from your account.

“I took all my prepaid rebate cards that have random small amounts like $2.18 or $4.32 on them and reloaded my Amazon Gift Card balance. It’s so much easier than trying to keep track of the balance and have them charge that exact amount only at the store. I ended up with around $19 more to spend for Prime Day!” – Stacy

3. Redeem loose change at Coinstar for Amazon gift cards.

Empty out those pockets, crack open your piggy bank, flip the couch cushions, and bring all your loose change to the nearest Coinstar machine. Upon redemption, choose the Amazon Gift Card payout so you receive the full value of your change and have it ready to spend during the Prime Early Access Sale!

Note that there is a minimum redemption amount of $5, but there’s no fee when you choose the Amazon Gift Card option!

4. Score an instant gift card upon approval of an Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Signature card.

Plus, with your new card, you’ll receive 5% back at Amazon and Whole Foods Market with an eligible Prime membership, 2% back at participating restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, and 1% back on utilities, rideshare, and all other purchases. Best of all, there’s no annual credit card fee. 🤩

I’ve been on the Amazon Shopper panel wait-list for about a year. I spend a lot of money at Amazon not just for my family, but also for my job–so I am not sure what the criteria is to be accepted as a panelist. 🤔

  2. Varsha darekar

It’s any paid review on Amazon?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Varsha! If you’re referring to the Amazon Shopper Panel, you would have to make purchases outside of Amazon (10 eligible receipts per month) in order to earn rewards. Once you’ve uploaded those eligible receipts, you’ll have the option to choose from a $10 Amazon Balance reward or $10 charitable donation. You will also receive short surveys about brands or products that may be of interest to you and you can earn rewards for each survey you complete. Hoping this is helpful! ❤️

      • HeatherW1983

I’ve earned over $120 just this year thanks to the shopper panel. It’s so easy to scan in any 10 receipts and check the app every couple of days for surveys (all of which are less than 1 min long and under 5-10 questions!) I average around $12-$16 every single month and it’s automatically added to my Amazon gift card balance without having to do anything extra. ABSOLUTELY THE EASIEST WAY TO EARN FREE AMAZON $.

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Sweet! Thanks for sharing all those details! I’m still on the waiting list myself, but it sounds exciting and totally worth it! 🥰

        • franny5

yes I love it. i feel like it helps pay for Amazon for me

      • Becca

What app is this again? I use Stitch, iirc, to upload my receipts. I have so many each week they stop me from uploading them. I guess they think I’m picking them up in the parking lot lol In reality, I just do a ridiculous amount of shopping.
I’d be interested in learning about other, similar, options.
        Thanks!

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Becca! The Amazon Shopper Panel app (mentioned in tip #5 in the post) is one option – though there is a waitlist for submitting receipts. Another great option that the Hip team and readers love is Fetch! Hoping these might be a great option for you! 💕

  3. Jeanette---

Put my name on the waitlist for the shopper panel!!! Thanks for these tips!!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re so welcome! Good luck! 🤞💕

  4. Peaches

I love Amazon Shopper Panel. Easy $10+ every month!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      ME TOO! 💞🙌

  5. Peaches

I get a prepaid Visa every year as the rebate for my dog’s heartworm/flea treatment pills. $45 is a great rebate but I tended to tuck those cards away and then forget all about them until after they expired in the past. This works out way better.

  6. liltricky00

I’ve been on the shopper panel since beta and love earning credits for normal shopping. I always do my fetch rewards then Amazon shopper panel. It makes it way easier to remember.

    • liltricky00

Over $250 on Amazon rewards so far since I started. When you do your 10 receipts it gives you $10 monthly. Every other day or so there is an additional survey from .10 to 2.50 additional earnings. They also just started ad measurements which give you money additionally when ads are surveyed.

    • Jackie Valyou

      How do I get on

      • Claudette (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Jackie! You can find the Amazon Shopper Panel app link above. This is available by invitation only, however you may be added to a waiting list or find that you’ve already been invited when trying to sign up!

  7. Amy

I am trying to do the shopper panel app, but it won’t let me log in. Amazon customer service says this is invite only

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Sorry for any confusion, Amy. That does appear to be available through invite only. Be sure to keep checking back as you may find that you’re accepted! Hoping you can sign up soon! 🤞❤️

  8. Debbie

I am on the app. But, so far, I only received the surveys. when I click on “Submit a Receipt”, it says there is a wait list. I have been doing the surveys since February, 2023. How long does it take to be able to submit receipts? I would love the opportunity. Any suggestions?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hey Debbie! I can’t remember when I signed up (it’s definitely been a while), but I’m also on the “waitlist” for receipt submission. I believe it’s a popular program, so you might just keep checking back. Hoping you’re able to get through soon! 🤞

  9. Natalie

I was on the wait list forever, and finally was invited to join in Feb 2023, but I am only able to do surveys. Receipt submissions are wait-list for me still. As far as the surveys go, there have only been 3 for me to take so far.
    : /
I think once you are able to submit receipts, it could be worth it.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing how the rewards app is going for you, Natalie. Hoping you’re able to get on the receipt submission option soon! 🤞

  10. Justina

#2 is a Fabulous idea—Thanks! I often lose 25 cents here, 90cents there on those prepaid rebate cards, this is fabulous–thanks!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome, Justina! Glad that tip was helpful for you! 🥰

  11. riss

Amazon shopper panel, survey plus $2 ad verification = at least $12/month. It pays for the prime membership. So easy and convenient.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Yes! It sure is an awesome program! Happy to hear that your rewards help pay for your Prime membership, riss! 🙌

  12. ReneeAnn

We signed up for the credit card last year for prime day because the rewards are better than what we previously had. We accumulate points so fast we had plenty of Amazon credit to pay for Christmas gifts. 5% back on Amazon purchases can be a lot over a year. I also linked my Amazon card to the Drop app for more points (referral code 4bahq for $10 credit)

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

So awesome that you were able to accumulate points fast and use your Amazon credits to pay for Christmas gifts, ReneeAnn! 🙌 Thanks for mentioning the tip about linking your Amazon card to the Drop app too! 💞

  13. Lynn Brown

Ok girls what exactly are you talking about linking your Amazon card to the drop app ? Oh and I’m definitely going to put myself on the waitlist or does it automatically put you on a waitlist when you go to sign up for it? Thanks in advance for your help . Been with you guys from the start I’ve always told friends and family you have to check out Hip2Save if you want to k ow all the latest deals online and in stores !

  14. loren

The Amazon Chase card is on a bonus period for gas purchases, it is 4% thru July, you must go to the card site and activate the offer. It will go back and give the extra starting in May.

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the heads up on the bonus for gas purchases, loren! 🤗 💕

  15. loren

I’ll crack the $300 mark on the Panel on July 1. I signed up, got the waitlist email, and a week later I was in, who knows how or why? Its well worth to keep trying. I didnt do the ad part, I wasnt interested until they raise the payoff, $2 just seemed not worth messing with settings on my phone.

You could also look into Google Opinion Rewards, I’m at $380 on that app. Also very simple, they started receipts recently, 12 cents per to take a photo, plus survey from 10 cents up to $1.50 for me. Most take just a few seconds. They pay out in Googlr monry, not cash. It is enough to pay for YoutubeTV 2-3 months per year.

    • Trish (Hip Sidekick)

Wow, that’s great! So glad you’ve been able to earn extra money on the shopper panel, loren! Thanks for letting us know how it worked for you and for mentioning the Google Opinion Rewards. We’ll check that out! 😊 ❤️

  16. Carla

I finally bit the bullet and applied for the Amazon card. Not a fan of Chase but I’ll watch the account carefully. I applied yesterday and it said it needed further review. They called today and left a message to call them back to answer a few questions. First I checked to make sure the call was legit and called back. After a few minutes the person said I was approved (for more than I actually wanted to have as available credit on my credit report) and to expect the card in 7-10 days. I got on my Amazon account after the call and my gift card already had the $200 on it (along with $11.25 which I earned through their shopper panel last month). They also sent a confirmation email with a link to automatically attach the new card as the default payment for Amazon. Pretty simple and the 5% will beat the 3% I was getting with my other card.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh cool! Thanks for the heads up on what the process was like for you, Carla! 🙌

Am I the only one that thinks Amazon bonus credits stink this year?
