Target has extended its Price Match Guarantee.
Target’s Holiday Price Match system began October 6th and runs through December 24th. The biggest change from the store’s year-round price-match policy is that you can ask for a price adjustment on ALL items purchased at Target or any of their approved competitors if the price ends up dipping lower later in the season.
Just keep in mind that you will need to show your proof of purchase and it must be for the identical item with the same brand name, size, weight, color, quantity, and model number.

Shipping is free on orders of $35 or more. You may also be able to opt for free in-store pickup if items are in stock and available near you.
If you're a Target RedCard holder, you'll get an additional 5% off your order plus free shipping on any size order! However, exclusions do apply and orders for RedCard holders may require the $35+ shipping threshold.
Plus, you might be able to score $1 savings on your order by consolidating your shipping. On the app, just click the No-Rush Shipping option. Online, click the "Save $1 with Order Consolidation" option during checkout.
Has anyone tried to use the Holiday Price Match to get a discount on previously purchased items? Every year I try to get employees at the Customer Service desk to give honor the Holiday Price Match program and every year I get the full run around. In essence they don’t tell their employees about the deal nor train them on how to do it. It took 20 minutes of persistence this year and I’m so frustrated. It’s advertised like crazy and this is the 2nd maybe 3rd year they’ve done it?
I recommend the chat option on their website – I was able to get adjustments on two items that went down in price, two separate occasions this holiday season. The difference was around 10-11 dollars both times. Took about 10 minutes for them to verify all the info and I got a refund!
This was for online purchases but if you used your red card to purchase in store, you can still see and look up your in-store purchase in your target account so I am sure the customer service can too. Not sure if it works for all cards, I always use the red card in-store so that’s what I see in my account purchase history.

I was able to do this on a coat I had purchased about 3 weeks prior. They had to return the item and then rebuy it. But I didn’t have to have the item w me. Worked just fine for me.
Had a great in store experience yesterday with a store customer service representative that returned and resold an item that was purchased a couple weeks ago. Ended up being a $30 savings!

I called Targets customer service and got back $117 for clothing I had purchased in October that now is at a lower price and had no problems 😊 It’s time consuming if you have a lot of different orders but definitely worth it!

Pricing, promotions, styles and availability may vary by store and online. We match Target.com prices on in-store purchases and in-store prices for Target.com purchases. In-store price matches from other Target stores are excluded. Online clearance prices can’t be matched with in-store clearance prices.
Online clearance prices are separate from in-store clearance pricing. In-store clearance pricing isn’t visible online. Clearance items and pricing can only be found and purchased in-store. I did it on Black Friday when the OG Doll was on sale for $15 (online price only) and had no problems getting a price adjustment when I found the doll in store. I showed the item on my phone and they scanned the barcode on the doll and said I was good to go. Hope that helps!
